I'm personally opposed to killing abortion "doctors", but I wouldn't prevent somebody else from making that choice.

Nice attempt at equivocation, but it doesn't work.
A fetus is not a person in the eyes of the law, at least not within the first trimester (or is it the first two trimesters?), whereas a doctor would have to be just a wee bit postpartum, and thus would be protected under the law as a person; killing such a person would be murder by the legal definition, so I certainly would not support ANYONE making that choice, whatever I think about abortion.

I wonder if Longhorn would agree with this:
\"I'm personally opposed to abortion, but I wouldn't prevent somebody else from making that choice.\"
I just wonder....

Dr.Funkopolis, why do you think he phrased it the way he did? That's why I called it an attempt at equivocation; he's trying to suggest that (passive support of the rights for) killing a doctor is no different from (passive support of the rights for) conducting an abortion.

Er...'Tinhorn Rust'I believe one with fore-knowledge of a capital offense which they willfully refuse to prevent can be charged with aiding and abetting (all you legal people out there feel free to correct me).

So, does that mean he's pro-choice? That is deep, man.

I can't be sure, but isn't this line of logic roughly equivalent to making a statement similar to this:
\"Because a full grown cow is good to eat, the fetus of a cow in its mother's womb is also good to eat.\"
Things that are in a fetal state of development don't have the same intrinsic properties as the things they grow into. Trying to make an argument that directly compares the two is fallacious in the extreme.

So, leave it to the expertise of Dr. Jack Daniels or Dr. Steel-Toed Boot?
Because that's what happens when they aren't clinically available. So way to go at proving nothing.

):D Well, well! I finally made the infamous FSTDT list. I never thought it would be from a tongue-in-cheek comment that I ripped off from DoctorDoom. I gotta give the Doc credit, it's a parody that's supposed to make pro-abortion wackos think about the stupidity of their prime platitude. And, hey! It worked...

):D I do believe a light bulb might just be illuminating inside your head, Funky. In fact, it seems to be radiating 1000 Points of Light on the walls & the ceiling.
):D Anyhoo, I was beginnin' to feel slighted by you guys. But now, I can hold my head up in the company of the fine folks at FC.
):) Oh, & if y'all want some more pro-life wisdom to add to your dubious hall of fame, you can also find me at www.amarillo.com. Look for the talk forums. We just had a big abortion debate on the open forum. I know y'all are just itchin' to browse. Enjoy!

):D You really think chickens are the moral equivalent of humans? I think we \"fundies\" should start a collection of the \"darned\" things you guys say. It would be just like shooting fish in a barrel.

Then you would be complacent in the murder, and be charged and convicted as an accessory after the fact, which I believe carries the same sentence as if you had pulled the trigger yourself in some places.
