They [the Ku Klux Klan] never did hate anyone, they're just pro-white.

They (the KKK) were founded on hate.
Originaly created to terrorize catholics, the KKK quickly expanded its victim list to include negros, natives, and jews.

Actually, they were originally a social club of Confederate veterans in Pulaski Texas who dressed up and played pranks on people, especially the black former slaves whom they considered gullible. During reconstruction the Klan was used by white vigilantes to terrorise the freed slaves and "keep them in their place".
You seem to be thinking of the "Second Klan", a resurgence in popularity (and improvement in organisation) of the Klan during the depression. This period did, indeed capitalise on the anti-catholic paranoia that was prevalent in parts of the US at that time.
So, they actually committed lynchings, beatings, intimidation, arson, bombings, & countless other crimes against black people out of love?
Sure, they were just pro-white. They didn't hate anyone. That's why they violently persecuted blacks during Reconstruction, committed hate crimes against blacks, Catholics, Jews, immigrants, and Asians during the 1920s, and supported white supremacists like David Duke for President in recent years.
Confused?
