[On Bush's call to reduce mid-East oil imports by 75% by 2025]
And 2025 ??? [Shocked smiley] Yeah... like we're gonna be here. [slapped head smiley] But again, he's the President of the U.S. He HAS to say someTHING.

And this is the problem with Rapture-obsessed fundies. They're always assuming that they'll be gone in a few years, so they don't feel any moral compunction about screwing the environment, economy, or population of the world over. They've taken what should be considered a gift from God and justify breaking it because they'll just get another one.
I wonder what these people will say once 2025 rolls around.
Oh Bush, you fool! Don't make any plans for the future, that's stupid! We're all gonna be taken up by God and given front row seats to most nightmarish orgy of suffering ever conceived; it'll be fun!
God, it makes me sad to realize that living in Tennessee means people like this are probably everywhere.
"Meh. What we don't get from the middle east, we'll get from Canada."
sadly, under Harper you probably will, no matter how many times the US fucks Canada over the FTA.
Christ, I hate American christians sometimes, so much it hurts.
I just hate humans in general sometimes.... They seem to be idiots, greedy, selfish, or ignorant people who're quite nice but being totally used.
It's sad. Really sad.

I'm not a big fan of American christians myself. And I agree with Dragon. It's amazing we haven't destroyed ourselves yet because of the less desirable traits in humans.
Point: "They" (Fundies) make claims that The Rapture (TM) is coming, so they can destroy everything and not feel guilty.
Point: They state that if given proof of the non existance of God, they will go out and kill, steal, etc.
Point: They claim that Athiests and people who belive in Evolution lack Ethics.
Hmm...
Well, let's see. Rapture predictions so far are, what, 0 for several thousand? Tell me again why you have some special insight into this (especially when Jesus himself said "you know neither the day nor the hour").
Actually this is a fascinating opinion.
1. He wanted to cut down on importing oil from unstable sources. Is this an admission the US will still be in Iraq in 2025?
2. Prices are as high as they are, dually because we have used over half the world's supply of oil and demand is outstripping supply. It is a sellers market not a buyers market. You cannot pick and choose vendors!
(also raping Alaska will not affect world oil prices, there is not enough oil there).
Uh CANADA!?!?
I'm sorry, but the Tar sands are
a no go.They hold around 250 billion barrels, not 1 Trillion.
The method of extracting them involves
a LOT of energy-consuming steps.It's
not profitable below $40-50 dollars
a barrel, and China has contracted
most of it.
Don't look @ what "60 minutes"
or any of the other "mainstream"
media says as being anywhere close to
reality.Check out what the Oil companies are actually doing.
Laying off thousands of employees,
reducing all operations in most fields,
and hunkering down.

Waiting for the rapture (which is not even in the friggin book and has been made up 2 centuries ago) to solve your problems without the Scripture giving you any date is gambling.
You know what happen to gamblers in your book, do you ?
Confused?
