ONE THING FOR SURE from a CHristians perspective...it [HIV] came about because of a perversion and spread from there through other sexually promiscuous people who did it with that person etc.

THE SINS OF THE PARENTS WILL be visited on the children (as a reminder to the parents of the destruction their acts bring that THEY might repent and cry out to God instead of going the same way...) Meanwhile... God can heal and deliver ALL who cry out to him. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA>..hell...any idea at all how many people GOD DELIVERED FROM DISEASES THIS YEAR???

If God gave my children AIDS, I'd sure want to worship Him more. I thank thee, O Lord, who has blessed my child with AIDS to demonstrate His love. What a glorious gift, this abundance of medical bills! [rolls eyes]
First, the all loving god "visits" aids on the infant of a "sinner". Then he kills the infant in a horrible murderous spree, then burns said infant for enternity for not "accepting" him.
Attempting to reproduce is a perversion? So, without perverts, the human species would die out, and that's all part of God's master plan.

HIV was transmitted through blood and semen. The promiscuous people were, in the best case, MEANS, not CAUSES of the problem. Think twice.
This again brings up a big problem in Fundie Baptist and Evangrelical churchs that hold this "sins of the father" shit up as absolute.
You've been a member your whole life, you get married to another long time member and something awful (desease, accident, attack, rape, bankruptcy, whatever)happens to you or your child,,,, what's the members of your church forced to think. It's your fault or maybe your fathers, they'll never accept you as a 'good Christian' again.
Show me one person...ONE...SINGLE...PERSON...who is cured of AIDS by faith. I mean it. This person has to have an undeniable positive staus become undeniably negative. Not a decrease in the viral load, not the person feeling better, FULLY CURED. Until you can, keep your GODDAMN witch doctor claptrap to yourself, and leave the medicine to the trained professionals. And kindly tell me what the people who contracted AIDS through contaminated blood supply did to deserve it.
HIV came about because people ate chimp meat or had sex with a chimp or with someone who had ate meat and had syphilis. It probably started small in the heterosexual community, around 1910, but spread like wildfire later, around 1980, in the homosexual community because they were forced to hide their sexuality; married people of the opposite gender and raised pretend families, only to sneak away once in a while to have a one-night-stand with someone they could actually feel attracted to. If gays had had the same rights as everyone else, we might not have gotten an HIV epidemic...
