Those that see the Bible as parables written by men can. Your God can still exist in this as can your Jesus, maybe that happened.
Y'see many Christians have read and studied the Bible and recognized the contradictions and right-out errors of reality in it. For All Y'all fundies or literalists, listen up: The Bible can't be literal when it's not consistant. All that leaves is the stories of men, a collection of similair stories collected, by comitee of men with their incompatable miskes and contradictions intact.
It's like an inside joke not to take it seriously and see who gets it. Remember, fairy tales don't ever state they are just stories.
