Styles in themselves can also be good or bad. Take away the lyrics, from a Christian or Secular rock band and you have a rock rythym/beat. If you listened to just a rock rythym/beat what do you hear? You hear rock. That's all you hear - is rock. Some people would say that just hearing a rock beat by itself is neither immoral or moral. They would say it's ahmoral, and it becomes good or bad based on the lyrics. But when the rock music came into the scene in the 50's it adapted this beat. No other genre has this same beat (normally called an "off-beat" with the stronger beats on the 2nd and 4th in a 4/4 measure) except for blues, jazz, and some others. No other genre has this same style of rythym. And this rythym, even by itself, I would say is immoral. This rythym IS rock. And rock IS associated to all sorts of immorality. This same immorality cannot be said for classical music - which is not just music during the 1700's, but music that has the stronger beats on the 1st and 3rd beats of a 4/4 measure, or to some: traditional music.
