Well... I've had 3 homosexual guys I know mention that they wished they weren't gay. They said that it would make their lives easier if they were just attracted to women. I would guess that if there was a serum available, some would volunteer to take it. (I am not condoning some idiot trying to force them to take it.)
My Mother was born left-handed. She was forced to be right-handed by my Grandmother. My Mother would be punished if she used her left hand. She is right-handed now and has been most of her life. She was forced to conform to her mother's concept of normality.
Is it wrong to engage in psychological conditioning? Some might argue we are all conditioned to some degree by our schools, peers and parents. The act of sharing is not natural, it is something we are forced to learn through positive and negative reinforcement.
Another question in the same vein is why is homosexuality considered an acceptable \"life choice\" when pedophila, necrophilia, beastiality, and many fetishes are still considered to be psychological disorders or perversions? By what basis do societies decide what is acceptable behavior or not?

Sanechick, there are plenty of things that are not allowed in our society that are consentual: Drug use, bigamy and prostitution come to mind. There are plenty of teenagers who have had sex and are being tried for statutory rape - even though it was entirely consentual. What about the case in Germany where two cannibals got together and ate each other? That was entirely consentual, but the surviving cannibal was sent to prison.
Somehow I think there is more to something being acceptable than whether or not it is consentual.
