Quote# 9749

They[Soldiers in Iraq] knew what they were getting into when they joined. They joined because they are brave and noble and are willing to fight for their country. They signed up for it.

Babies don't know what they are getting into when their parents conceive them and decide to kill them. They have no choice, they are dependent on the decision of the parents. They didn't sign up for it.

[Do you think Iraqi civilians had a choice?]

Leave it to a non-Christian to care more about the killing of innocent children rather than supporting our country.

Uh... yes. Yes, please do.

Irrational Entity

How... Old Testament of you, Jojo!

And for once, I have no words.

Other than partisan differences, what the hell does the war in Iraq have to do with abortion?

Perhaps Jojoexclaimationpoint is merely entitled to a Freudian Slip Award?

If not, he just shows where fundie priorities lie. If you don't mind, I'll stick with protecting innocent kids.

And as for your earlier comments, Jojoexclaimationmark, it IS illegal to kill babies. No, a fetus is not a baby. No, an embryo is not a baby. Live with it.

JojoExclamationpoint! is a 14 year old fundie, if you read the thread she doesn't believe in veterinarians performing abortions on dogs or cats, or putting animals down for overly aggressive behavior either. She obviously doesn't consider killing innocent children overly aggressive behavior in humans.

<< Leave it to a non-Christian to care more about the killing of innocent children rather than supporting our country. >>

Oh, she did NOT just say that, did she? I don't recall Christ saying much about \"supporting one's country,\" but I seem to recall his valuing nonviolence.

That distant booming noise must be the sound of FSTDT readers' irony meters exploding over the horizon.

I guess that means there are a lot of innocent children who should be thankful for non-christians because the christians don't give a fuck about them if the US is at war.

2/23/2006 3:08:07 PM

did she just mean what she just said? Do you suppose that was a slip?

2/23/2006 8:50:55 PM

I'd really like to believe it was a slip, but given what she was responding to and given the fact that she didn't retract it, I don't think it was.

2/23/2006 9:07:56 PM

I'm just going to go and interpret that second part as a compliment.

2/24/2006 2:03:16 AM

Oh course they did. They were all given extremely candid and detailed studies of the war in Iraq and the casualty rates when they were recruited in the mall as high school drop outs. And then they voted on whether they got to go to Iraq and whether they got to go on patrol, and whether they got to get car bombed - just so you could spout this shit!

It all makes sooooo much sense when you look at it that way!

One could make the argument that the sperm made its decision when it fertilized the egg.

\"Leave it to a non-Christian to care more about the killing of innocent children rather than supporting our country.\"

Bwuh? I can't help but think that Jesus (if he was real) is sitting up in heaven looking down and saying \"You fucktards! Didn't you listen to a SINGLE word I said?\"

2/24/2006 7:21:58 AM

Someone please explain to me how killing innocent (and guilty) people and letting young boys die in a foreign country is somewhat related with \"supporting our country\".

Or is that when soldiers kill an iraqui civilian they shout \"U S A ! U S A !\"

In a very strange manner, someone could think that the iraq war is made to support their country, iraq; but the usa? that's nonsense and will be despite how many people believe it.

Leave it to a decent human being of any faith or lack thereof to think civilian deaths are a bad thing, you chickenhawk sack of vomit.

Leave it to a heartless vulture to care more about supporting our country's prestige as a superpower rather than the killing of innocent children.
