Based on the comment and the response, 'truthman' wouldn't know the truth if it bit him in the ass.

Good grief, what kind of reality filter is this guy using? There's no way you can get from quantumspirit's comments to \"truthman's\" translation of them without a paranoid schizophrenic's degree of misperception -- underscoring the supreme irony of this poster's username.

TheologyOnline has a reputation system a lot like CF. Its kinda like giving a thumbs up or thumbs down, and neg repping mean giving the thumbs down.

When my sister was in 1st grade, she was in a really bad school. When Mom found out, she homeschooled my sister for a year whilst looking for a new school. (Which actually isn't great; it's a Church-run school with a pedophile principal.) My point is, that some homeschooling MUST always be allowed. The thing is, that once the kids reach a certain point, parents are no longer equipped to handle teaching, even if they can make the time. In this case, public shool, private school, or a private tutor should be mandatory, with emphasis on improving the public schools, since the poor rely on them.

Wow, Maronan:
\"a Church-run school with a pedophile principal\"
my husband went to a school like that too. I wonder how common this is?

Well, actually my sister's school isn't fully \"Church-run,\" but it IS certainly connected. (Headmaster is the Pastor of a church, students considered \"God's children,\" Headmaster in question (who is more of a figurehead) believes that a man should be the principal because men are \"better leaders,\" even though she's a woman, so it's not totally unrelated.)
Also, the pedophile principal has been placed on \"administrative leave,\" thanks to my sister, my mom, and various other parents. They're still working to have him fired outright.
EDIT: The principal is now back to his regular job, even as the parents are beginning to discover racism hidden everywhere in the school. The principal's inappropriate touching wasn't even adressed until a white kid complained! Actions have been taken with powers higher than the school to correct the problem.
