Do you notice that atheist alwys dare not admit openly that they are atheists? They are the most confused people I know, more confused that Muslim and Buddhist add together.

Lots of people know I'm an atheist and if anybody asks me I'll tell them. I just don't walk up to random people and start talking to them about how I'm an atheist. Christians feel the need to talk to random people about their religion, I don't feel the need to talk to random people about my lack of religion.
Actually, when you, like a Buddhist seek enlighenment, the first thing you learn is how little of what you think you "know" is actually true.
That's what confusing with seeking higher understanding. Arrogantly claiming insight thanks to a holy book does not count, sorry.
I was a closet athiest, mostly because I had a lot of Christian friends that I thought would just get up and leave. Then I remembered every after-school special and realized that if they left that they were not real friends. Here I am 5 monthls later happier than I have ever been now that I'm openly an athiest, no more calling myself Catholic.
Down south in Texas and such Fundie strongholds he has a point, but the times are changing. I think the last poll , that showed 14% Atheism in America has you lot scared, that's a jump from the previous 7% and I think just represents people being less afraid of others opinions and not feeling the need to please that Christian majority.
We've seen dozens of Fundie leaders demanding that Atheists shouldn't be allowed to speak out, just keep our mouths shut and everybody will be happy. They know Atheisms higher than 14% by church losses alone and they know it'll grow in polls as it's more accepted

‘Dare?’ I don’t often admit to my atheism, because it usually doesn’t come up. But when we were comparing our various churches’ requirements for marriage, it came up and i admitted it freely.
No one around you mentions it because you’ll talk their ear off and they don’t find that amusing.
"They are the most confused people I know,”
If they never admit it, just how many atheists do you know? And how do you know it?
And how would you measure their ‘confusion?’
“more confused that Muslim and Buddhist add together.”
Um, Buddhism is a philosophy, not a religion, and you can be a Christain Buddhist.
You need to pull your head out of your ass, but you think i’m confused.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
