WTF?! || meh

Yep. When something good happens to me, I say \"Some monkey up there must like me.\"

This one was the first to make me genuinely laugh in a long time.

Soooo close. Replace 'Evolutionists routinely' with 'IDers erroneously'.

So fundies seem to only be able to understand the world as a competition amongst religions who seek to glorify their respective deities.

Superhuman? Maybe this person thought that \"The X-Men\" was a documentary on the future of evolution.

Wow. I have never actually seen an absence of abstract thinking, but there you go. The more I come here the more sense de-evolution starts to make.

I'll try this just one more time.

That's all it is.

No, there's nothing designed about it. It's like taking something, making a bunch of tiny changes at random to it, see which changes work best, keep those and start over from there. Mutation provides the changes, and natural selection weeds out the ones that didn't work.

*Evolution* is a deity?
Oh, no, I must stop worshipping Darwin!

This has to be one of the more extreme attempts I have read where fundies try to assert that evolution is a religion. Keep it up fundies! It's like watching some fool stick out his tonque and touch it to a wire to see if it's live.

How is it that when fundies want to make something look dumb, evil, unholy or whatnot they compare it to religion? I mean, what are they actually saying?

Bob, I think you've struck gold with that observation. The circle of irony is complete.

The Uncanny X-tians.

Superhuman- adj : above or beyond the human or demanding more than human power or endurance

If a human's sense of smell was as good as a bloodhound he would have a superhuman sense of smell. If he would swim as fast as a marlin he would have superhuman swimming ability.

Marlin's and bloodhounds have abilities \"above or beyond human\", therefore they're superhuman (in at least one attribute) , therefore, according to jduke, they're all dieties.

I believe the word he was looking for is supernatural.

su•per•nat•u•ral adj:
-Of or relating to existence outside the natural world.
-Attributed to a power that seems to violate or go beyond natural forces.
-Of or relating to a deity.
-Of or relating to the immediate exercise of divine power; miraculous.
-Of or relating to the miraculous.

Evolution is the attempt to explain life's diversity without the interference of the supernatural using reason, natural interactions/reactions and natural forces.

Most humans cannot design a single part of this computer. The group of men and women who did it can, so they have to have \"superhuman design capabilities\".

All right. Now, everyone, fall on you knees and worship... IBM !

Fundies routinely show a complete lack of understanding of how evolution works. Indeed, most of them are so thick they routinely may well show a lack of understanding that you need cheese to make a cheese sandwich.

Meteorologists routinely assign superhuman weather altering abilities to Climate, implying that Climate is a deity.
