Quote# 9855

['I am well aware of the life cycle. I do not, however, consider it wrong or evil to kill the human being if it does not think, feel, or have any sort of consciousness. And even after those attributes begin to develop, it should still be the mother's decision as to whether or not to allow her pregnancy to continue.']

You are truly evil and insane. The German people went through this same dementia in their Nazi era when the Jews were considered less than human. You flaunt your anti-God Secular Humanist credentials with disdain for the truth and mindless insanity. You are a truly despicable human being.

I love bug-eyed, frothy rants by someone arguing another person is insane. Wins me over every time.

I think I'll cut Art a little slack on this one, since his adversary went so far as to say that he believes the decision rests with the mother \"even after\" the fetus begins to develop cognition, sensation, and consciousness. I'm not sure where those starting points are, or what is meant exactly by \"beginning\" to develop (i.e., where is the cutoff point?), but I can definitely see why this would set somebody off in a bad way. It's pretty inflammatory.

David D.G.,

I think you are right in saying that the poster the fundie is responding to is going too far. However, the fundie here is clearly on about not classifying a human being as a person. We could expect the same responce from the fundie if the poster stated that an embryo wasn't a person with rights.

ooooh - you horrible Humanist!

(I too claim disdain for mindless insanity btw)

Oh dammit - it's a shame Mel Blanc is dead - I'd love to hear Daffy Duck say Art Deco's rants....

They need to make a revision to Goodwin's Law:
\"If, while engaged in debate, a fundie poster calls the opposing party a 'Humanist', 'Satanist', 'Pagan', 'Heathen', 'Liberal', etc. With little to no regard to the actual meaning of said titles, the fundie automatically forfits the debate.

Riddles

Comparing the Jews to a foetus is stupid, there is quite a difference.

For one the Jews were not endangering anyone for existing unlike a foetus which could kill the mother by being born, be born with a physical/mental defect or grow up in a life which nobody can support them.

That and a Jew is a human which thinks, feels and has conciousness, a foetus does not. It is not yet a full human but would you call someone evil for preventing a full human from coming into an existance of misery where their birth would kill their mother, they would be born mentally/physically disabled or to a life which it can't cope?

Before you people freak out, remember that Art Deco does not think or have any sort of consciousness, and therefore probably takes this as a personal threat to his safety.

Logically, you're likening the Jews to foetuses, implying that the Jews cannot think, feel, or have consciousness.

And then you call the first guy evil and insane. What?
