Lets face it, I know science is awesome, true science that is. I have read numerous arcticles that place creation as the only possible way we arrived here.

Think about the likely hood that we just happened to be in the perfect balance on a axis that doenst freeze us solid of burn us up completely. Or that the rib cage specifically protects our vital organs. It had to be purposed.

Take 5 tooth picks put them in your hand. Hold your hand 6" from a flat surface. Think in your mind how you want them to fall to build an outline of a house. Now tilt your hand and let the fall. Likely? No its not, just like the likely hood that we just happened to have an imune system that is in constant development, that the healing process works as it does. It all poinst to a creator.

I'm going to assume you meant distance from the sun and didn't know what axis meant as that is the only way your follow up statements make any sense and I hear this argument a lot from stupid people: Our galaxy has some 200 billion stars, perhaps many more (estimates go as high as 400 billion). Now I have no idea how many of these are not too hot or too cool and more in league with our Sol, but I promise you that it's a lot. Combine that with the fact that there are an unknown amount of other galaxies out there with the same set up and you're telling me that it's impossible for one planet to fall in the sweet spot where water exists in three forms and be large enough to hold onto a thick atmosphere which helps to support life and keep dangerous space materials out? I hate to burst your bubble, but there are probably millions to billions to trillions of planets like this that are capable of supporting life very easily, but may or may not be doing so right now. Take Mars for example. It has less mass than Earth, a thinner atmosphere, is further away from the Sun, and yet with a few adjustments (increasing the temperature to melt it's southern ice to build up the atmosphere, planting trees to help generate oxygen, etc - All of which our technology is capable of doing over a great length of time) and you have a habitable planet. Despite it's distance from the Sun, it's only flaw is having a smaller mass. That caused it to cool off sooner than larger planets, like Earth, and as already stated caused the atmosphere to escape it's weaker gravitation pull. Which means it may have very well been capable of supporting life earlier in it's life span and simply couldn't maintain it forever. Anyway, my point is simply to give you an idea of how vast the distance is where a planet capable of supporting life can exist within a solar system.

Mathematically, anything over 10^50 is classed as impossible. Therefore you just did something so impossibly, impossibly impossible - yes you're looking at something a trillion times more impossible than impossible cubed. Conclusion: Either it's impossible to have two decks of cards without the universe imploding in on itself, or the order they're drawn out in is part of a grand design by a creator being. FUCKWIT!

Look, BroGrinder. It's this simple. This planet is not perfect for life so we could be put here. Life developed here because the conditons were right for life as we know it to develop. That's it, nothing more.
It is very conceivable that life will be found elsewhere in our solar system. We have found life on earth that has adapted to extreme conditions, indeed, far to extreme for our survival, but there are forms of life that thrive there. It is not outside the realm of possibility that life will be found on Mars, or even further out on some moons such as Jupiter's Europa or Saturn's Titan. And as someone else pointed out, there are far to many stars with the possiblity of habitable planets in the universe for this to be the only planet with life. I guess what I'm really trying to say is, "Get over yourself."

The five toothpicks example has nothing to do with evolution.
Evolution doesn't start from scratch with the toothpicks in your hand each time. It starts with an existing arrangement and modifies it. A closer example would be to drop a toothpick - one wall of the house. Then drop another. If it lands in such a way as to suggest a second wall, leave it and drop a third. Otherwise, pick it up and drop it again until it lands in the right spot. Continue until you've got a house. Likely? Yes. Evolution doesn't start with the shape of a house in mind, either. So make it even more general. Instead of imagining a house, just drop a few toothpicks and see what they look like - say, a star. Then with each additional drop, modify your target. Does the next toothpick make it look more like a tree? Then start shooting for a tree instead of a star. Mathematicians have built a number of "evolutionary models" to run on computers and they work remarkably fast -way faster than Bro's "drop the toothpicks to make a house" example would predict.

I agree, true science is awesome. "I have read numerous arcticles that place creation as the only possible way we arrived here." Yeah? Weren't we just talking about TRUE science? Creationism is about as far from true science as one can get. You seem to have very poor skills discerning what does and what does not constitute reliable source material. Just because you read some crap somewhere does not mean that that crap is actually true. That the earth is "perfect" for the life that exists here is simply because the earth is where that life developed and evolved. "Or that the rib cage specifically protects our vital organs. No, it shows that some species with rib cages had a significant survival advantage over their ancestors without rib cages, though it is unlikely that the rib cage developed in one simple step. Also, the major function of the rib cage is to facilitate efficient respiration. Many vital organs are not protected within the rib cage. "Take 5 tooth picks put them in your hand. Evolution is a long process of mutation AND natural selection. Your point about our immune system being in constant development is true. Our immune systems modify themselves to cope with constantly EVOLVING bacteria and viruses.

I much prefer Douglas Adams's take on the situation: " ... but it's quite another to be the sort of animal that has to wrap itself up in lots of other animals at one point in your planet's orbit, and then find, half an orbit later, that your skin's bubbling."

1) Couldn't be that the organisms whose vital organs weren't so well protected died out, could it? 2) It's not like the rib cage is perfect protection anyway. Just look at Steve Irwin, for instance. A divine creator could do a hell of a lot better than that. (He could also not give us an organ that serves no useful function whatsoever, but occasionally gets infected and causes a horribly painful death unless the person gets emergency surgery, for that matter.)

There are so many things wrong the analogy that I don't think I could even list them all. But here are a few: organic molecules aren't all that hard to produce in nature, they interact in ways that are largely predictable, and you are forgetting the Law of Large Numbers (to wit, one-in-a-million isn't too unlikely if you get a million tries).

1. You are not the ultimate goal of the universe. Humans are the way they are and live on Earth because Earth can support life of our type, not because we were predestined to exist, so someone made Earth for us. 2. You seem to think that evolution is evidence against evolution. This makes you a dipshit. 3. Your toothpick analogy is off base. Evolution makes gradual changes to existing features rather than starting over from scratch by picking up and re-dropping the toothpicks. Evolution is not teleological; there is no goal, it isn't trying to make a "house." Star Cluster and John said it better. @Old Viking

Certainly not. Humans were created by God. Bacteria were created by God's brother Steve. God wanted to make life forms in their image, Steve said no. So God challenged Steve to a bet create a bunch of organisms and whoever's creation is more populous after a certain amount of time wins. God made complex mammals in his own image, although he fucked up royally and they came out totally wrong. He tried to run a "Breedin' in Eden" program, but his subjects found his notes lying around next to his lunch, ate the lunch while reading the notes, and realized what was going on. When the two creations realized they were being exploited to win a bet, they said "to hell with this" and walked out. As they left, God instructed them to "be fruitful and multiply" in a pathetic attempt to win the bet even though his cover was blown. Meanwhile, Steve created bacteria for the win. Natural disasters are the result of God wringing Steve's neck in anger over the fact that Steve's microscopic little critters outfruitfulled and outmultiplied God's complex creations. The constant torture he faced at the hands of his big brother caused Steve great emotional trauma. Eventually he got into this whole goth phase, bought an apartment in Hell, and started using nicknames like "Lucifer" or "Satan." Meanwhile, God turned Steve's old room into a closet and took on a hobby of impersonating Hindu deities. He also likes to go up to deluded fundamentalist saps who no one will ever believe, "reveal" himself in a very revealing way, then watch and laugh as the fundamentalist preaches that he has seen God's Great Buttocks, Praise Jesus! Just for the hell of it, he runs three religions under the guise of three different gods, and loves making people of one of his religions hate people of another one of his religions. Injuries, of course, are not caused by God. Injuries are caused by people slipping on Invisible Divine Banana Peels that God "accidentally" dropped places. See, I can make up creation stories too! It's kinda fun, actually.

That ‘only possible’ tells me it’s not science, though.

Snails have their organs on one side, tucked up under the shell for protection. This is a sign of evolution, though, because slugs have the same internal arrangements. So they probably USED to have shells, and evolved awa from that.

But that’s not comparable to evolution.
Get 5 toothpicks, drop them on the outline of a house. If any align to the lines, leave those there, and pick up the others. Drop those. Keep what works, throw the others again and again and again….
THAT would be evolution.
