“[R]ape laws are intended to harshly punish those who harm good women,”
Well, women. Weird idea that women should control who gets to touch their body.
“not to find as many reasons to throw men in prison as you can think of...”
Well, rape is one reason. However many women are raped, that’s one reason, multiple counts.
“'rape' of a prostitute is not especially a serious act.”
It’s the same act. I don’t care if she WOULD have said yes if you paid more, or if you came to her placeof business, or agreed to wear a condom. If she said no, at any point, and you carried on, it’s rape. A binary quality of sexing at her without her permission.
“There should be some sort of offense, such as there is for a parking meter violation, but to toss another man in prison for years for that offense is totally and stark-raving insane, too.”
It’s still rape. Again, it doesn’t matter if she let OTHER men touch her, or how many other men, of if she let you touch her before, it’s her choice, and she said no, then its’ rape.
“If her body and her sexuality means nothing to her except a few bucks, it shouldn't mean much of anything to anyone else, either.”
But you don’t get to make that choice. She does.
She said no,you don’t get to say ‘you don’t deserve to say no.’
