"My Bible says Jesus said what He said. Why would I want to dispute that [like scholars do]?"
- mesue, ChristianForums

"Turn on the tube and watch the women of our country , who are blessed to give birth and help create life, demand the right to kill their children. Why don't we just build a huge furnace like the Moabites did so they can throw their children into the flames as a sacrifice to their father satan. If GOD doesn't punish us, he will probably have to apoligise to Sodom and Gamorrah."
- Porterbob, RaptureReady

"I've been on there [FStDT] many times. And you know what, I feel seriously honored being on there! Some of my quotes on there I'm pretty proud of. I think what's his face is only making himself look foolish by hosting it. Guys, do everything you can to get on that page!!! I feel sorry for someone who claims that he is anti-organized religion, yet is clueless to the fact that he is a high priest in the worlds biggest orgainized religion."

*** "Let the Reader Decide!" Prize ***

"There's this guy who has NOTHING BETTER TO DO with his life than to peruse the Christian message boards on the internet, and lift quotes from people out of context and paste them on his site in a poor attempt to make us look stupid and ignorant. On R.R., We've turned his silly game around: We consider it an honor to be posted on his site because much of what he's putting up there is actually FURTHERING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST! I mean hey, why have your quotes about Jesus and the sin in the world on only one web page when you can get it on two??"
- Angyl, RaptureReady

"I wonder what the pro-abortion people at this rally called any children that happened to be present - 'The ones that got away'?"
- KenH, ChristianForums

"We don't watch anything that even remotely smacks of demons, spirits, tarot cards, haunted houses, or the like. No way, nuh uh. Not in this house. We've experienced too much demonic activity after allowing that kind of stuff in our home."
- Rebecki, RaptureReady

"We had Ernest Scared Stupid and Spiderman (the new movie) that the kids would watch, and the night terrors began. My oldest son only had one, and insisted there was a little green boy and girl sitting on his bed that night that he watched spiderman. Then the nightly night terrors started with my 2 year old. I removed all the demonic movies and cast the demons out of the house, and they were gone that night, after months of it going on nightly. He would wake up at midnight every night and sit up screaming and not recognize me, or anything else, this would go on from anywhere between 10 min and an hour. He saw green spiders and snakes when it would happen. I know this was demonic activity from the movies and from people that would come over that were dealing with demons in their lives."
- MindieRose, RaptureReady

*** "Realism in Fiction" Award ***

"This movie [Disney's The Haunted Mansion] was not good for me or my children to see! It gave me the heebee jeebies and I am not one who is prone to that kind of thing, I was once heavily into the occult and this is to close to the real thing for my comfort."
- kitten, RaptureReady

"I don't allow anything in my house having to deal with spirits either. And my kids aren't allowed to watch Scooby Doo either. My mother always questions my decision but I stand firm on it."
- JustGodsChild, RaptureReady

"We do not watch anything with magic, yes that includes all disney movies with witches, fairy god mothers, all of that... the new scooby doo movies are a no no here. I just recently realized how bad the care bear movies are that I watched as a kid, that have now again. We dont do any of the pokemon stuff or any of the like. It gets extremely tiring (not to mention just plain annoying) to hear people tell me how stupid that is, but of course they are either non believers, or baby christians."
- MindieRose, RaptureReady

"I thought it was just so special when my children and I stopped by a friends house to get something, and my son came out to the car a little upset. I asked him what was wrong and he said 'that his friend was watching the Harry Potter movie' He was concerned for her. As we drove down the road he told me 'Mom I'm so glad that you don't let us watch any of that stuff'. All my other children agreed with him. I just loved hearing them say that to me."

"When an atheist says he cant find evidence for God, I have to restrain myself from laughing out loud... Arguing with atheists about the overwhelming evidence of Gods existance is like arguing with a Flat Earther about all the evidence that the Earth is round instead of flat. They wont believe you no matter what evidence you present, but only deny anything presented and then ask for more. Of course it is a game anyway to demonstrate how clever they are as we all know the Earth is not flat. The same is true for fanatics of any sort. Have you ever met someone who thinks that there were no lunar landings?... When these nutcases get right down to it, they cannot explain why there is so much apparent evidence against them and why they have so soundly lost the debate in the public forum as shown by numbers of adherents...

But, like the lunar landing denier, or the Flat Earther, none of this will ever add up, because their choice is made before seeing any evidence... I have seen no atheist ever give a coherent argument that asserts why God does not exist and defend it in a public forum. I have never seen an atheist give any indication that they have a genuine understanding of any of the subjects debated. But most of all, I have never seen any atheist give a plausible explanation of why they have so soundly lost the debate on the existance of God in the public forum... some people will nevere be convinced because they dont want to be convinced, and it is as apparent with the atheist as it is with a Flat Earther."
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

"They are not necesarily nutcases, though there is a higher ratio than the norm."
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

"Are we really? If so, the fact that 90% of the human population has always been theistic of some variety is a compelling statement. That so many are convinced in the course of their lives suggests that maybe those who never catch on are just not paying attention, eh?"
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

"And argumentum ad populum is not a flacy if the basis for the argument centers on numbers of people. For example, proving that the Sopranos is the m sot popular show on cable TV requires such reference and the fallacy would obviously not apply."
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

"The fact is, once again, atheism has lost the battle of thought, has been run out of the market place of ideas and the numbers prove it."
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

"When the USA becomes typified by anything to do with New York or New England, we can just flush this nation down the toilet."
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

"The whistle blew on this game about 50 years ago, and the atheists have definately lost. In another century the term atheist will be taken as ad hominem."
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

"In two millenia, there are Christians all over the planet, and the last three hundred years were a disaster for you too. How many atheists? I sometimes suspect that atheists exist because they annoy and look absurd to everyone else so much that these atheists actually spawn MORE theists than they could ever dissuade. You guys oughta just throw in the towel and play tiddly winks and maybe Christians will get lazy and forget all about you and then just sort of slide into athesim?"
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

[After someone posts a link to studies indicating Christianity is faltering in well-educated countries] "Nah, in the competition for Truth, atheism is a loser. As moderninity brings more health and education to the world, Abrahamic theism grows right along with it, and atheism loses power at every turn."
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

"And why should scientists be the sole yardstick [of studies on whether education correlates with religion]? Why not priests whose academic credentials are fairly steep as well? Of the clergy of various faiths on this planet, Abrahamic believers far outnumber atheists, obviously."
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

"That the reduction of comitment to Christian values in Europe coresponds to its reduction in overall numbers is but one more dmeonstration oof the life-centered nature of Christianity and how it promotes more human life, while atheism seems to be best at taking lives and denying free thought when in power."
- rglencheek, ChristianForums

"Did you know viewing that stuff [porn] can cause the person to become physically and sexually abusive? It can also cause the person to have anger problems and much more."
- rainbowshope, ChristianForums

"Let met clarify - the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most provable fact of ancient history."

"The Bush administration is not arguing that it can hold any civilian citizen it feels needed in prison as long as it seems necessary. They are arguing that these men are, in reality, 'enemy combatants' and therefore do not deserve the same legal protections as citizens."

*** Post of the Week (1) ***

[Replying to "Bush is more an example of a man with a gun in one hand and the Bible in the other."]

"And the downside here is? When god drives your heart the gun can't be missused. Do you want the leader of the mightiest army to be driven by greed, power or lust,(not mentioning any names) or any other un-godly acts?"
- Billnew, ChristianForums

"Most of the media is indeed liberal, for exadurations get more people to buy papers and watch TV. "
- Outspoken, ChristianForums

"I guess 50 years wasn't enough time for him [a Congressman who didn't say 'Under God' during the Pledge of Allegiance] to get used to saying the pledge with God included. Only a person who is anti-God would do this. If he loved God, he would want to say His Name. Loving and acknowledging God is not considered forcing religion on anyone. The whole charade of separation of church and state is ludicrous."
- Jesus Groupie, RaptureReady

"Why do Anti-patriots run for office anyways?"
- MrMannn, RaptureReady

"This guy [the congressman] is so lost. It is so sad to see such a hatred for a loving God."
- CJL, RaptureReady

"It means simply there is no such thing (never has been never will be )as an Atheist. What you have is Believers and unbelievers... Atheism is a pure impossibility.... you would have to know everything, that's why the fool has said in his heart there is no God,(what does that make the person who says it outload?) How do we know that there are no atheists? Even agnostics are not physically/mentally blind, even they know there is a God,God has made it CLEAR to them, but their hearts cannot accept this 'sight' so they say that they don't know!! Like the person who refuses to see what is in front of him,BECAUSE he keeps putting his hands over his eyes! It is truly shocking the power of denial, and none more so than denying God's very exsistence. They ARE (not might be) without excuse.Rom 1"
- cygnusx1, ChristianForums

"There is no such thing as a weak or strong atheist, that is illogical. 'Well I believe there is no God,but I am not sure' is an oxymoron."
- cygnusx1, ChristianForums

"It's a bit like young people, you? they know they are going to die,but they DON'T believe it, consider how most young people do things that later in life they admit 'I can't believe I did that when I was young'"
- cygnusx1, ChristianForums

"This is the type of emotional response you can expect, just continue to leave reason in the cupboard, and you will continue with the fantasy called Atheism! You could say to me 'prove there is a God' I would reply it's beyond proof,it's starring you in the face!
You would probably reply 'I believe there is no God ,but I can't be certain'
I would say you are an agnostic, nothing more, nothing less."

"So if there is no God... Why don't we just invade every mosque in Iraq and do whatever killing we need to further our cause? All we have to tell the muslims is, is that there is no God. Surely we can drive this point home with them."
- Riddick, JREF Forums

"Kindly stick to the Atheist viewpoint. Your dislike of Christians has been noted, but clearly observe we're not talking about Christians in this thread. I'll assume I don't have to repeat that. We're talking about the Atheist viewpoint, which should be enter and kill all since there is no God."
- Riddick, JREF Forums

"We simply surround the mosque's, invade and take the life of those inside. There is no God, hence no retribution. We can go in there and school those guys about the non-existence of God. That is the idealistic Atheist viewpoint. Be done with that mess over there. Go into the mosque's, do the necessary killin, then we can all leave that place. Thus said the Atheist."
- Riddick, JREF Forums

"Don't turn this away from the Atheist viewpoint. That is what's under scrutiny at this time.

There's no God, go in and kill them in the mosque's --- the Atheist"
- Riddick, JREF Forums

"Troylus, if you believe that there is absolute 'proof' that the earth is much older than 6,000 years, then I would like to see it. Of all the research I have done comparing articles, I have come to the conclusion that the dating methods evolutionists use are unreliable. Carbon 14 dating only works only so many thousand years back, and then becomes unreliable. Anything that seems to date beyond 6,000 years is only a result of a world wide flood that caused many fossils to appear older than they really are. Catastrophism ages things pretty quickly--leaving you poor deluted evolutionists to misdate virtually everything.

This leaves you the question as to whether such a flood existed. Well let me tell you, it did. I believe that todays oceans are the 'leftovers' of a worldwide flood. I also believe that most of our high jagged mountains, such as Mt. Everest were formed by the massive upheavel and underground water pressure that came from within the fountains of the earth."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"This is where the lunacy comes in. 'It has to come from these Professors and from certain universities [and not CreationScience.com] to be valid'. I see your line of reasoning--which leads me to believe I made a dire mistake in mentioning anything from the start. I may have missinformation as to the exact standing of 'anthropologist, biologist, and geneticist'. You don't have enough sense yet to know that these men are extremely biased and have manipulated information to suit there macroevolutionary based theories of stupidity??? I've heard countless stories where these types of men love to hide evidence, and don't let the people know the truth. Many of them are liars.

If this is the attitude you are going to take toward me, I see no use in providing you any documented sources, because you can be sure that you will do all in your power to discredit it, or find something wrong with the writer. Berkeley [University's website] can go jump in my back lake for all I care."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"I acknowledge the fact that this indeed is a subject I need more enlightenment on.... Regardless of my missunderstanding of these facts, I still hold to my views whatever bones we are talking--whether we are 'considered offshoots' or not, are either normal human beings with severe bone ailment, or amalgamations (crossbreeds between man and ape). Some say it is genetically impossible. I agree, today it is impossible. But if we are speaking from a creationists point of view, men and animals during the post flood period were much healther and more genetically capable. But not today, since man had degenerated as a result of the many damages the flood brought upon the earth."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"Actually, the cosmic background radiation was what I had in mind when I meant that the big bang could be used for proof of creation. And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light. -Genesis... Now, if God did indeed create light, at the furthest reaches of the universe, we should expect to see light. And what do we find? Electromagnetic radiation, of which light is a part of. Also, solar light is composed of other electromagnetic spectrum, such as ultraviolet, infrared, etc."

*** Gender Equality Prize ***

"Masturbation is specifically identified in the Bible as 'unclean'... My thinking is, it makes sense that a woman who is facing her period is 'unclean', but it is easy to think that semen from masturbation is nothing more than something like 'snot', something that can be wiped away and forgotten.

But these army dudes [in Deuteronomy 23:9] weren't even allowed to reenter the camp until they became clean again. Furthermore, this is with regard to nocternal omissions... which are completely involuntarily. Why, then, could someone possibly think that masturbation, which is completely voluntary, is an exception to the rule of uncleanliness?

So the next time you voluntarily discharge semen, keep in mind that, according to Old Testament law, the Lord (Yahweh), your Creator, finds it to be as filthy as the discharge of a woman's period. (Eww.)"
- Xiaoth, ChristianForums

"With all due respect, all these questions are as old as the hills and have been answered hundreds of times in the past.... Just the fact that the globe consists of 70% water should be evidence alone, since before the flood, there was much more land, and only large lakes possibly even salty ones. (Salt Lake Utah?) God originally designed the earth to accommodate a much larger population, if the world had repented, such a disastrous flood would not have occurred. But since man refused to repent, the flood came, and that is why we are getting near a population crises around the world. We would have had much more room otherwise."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

*** Bizarre Creationist Assertion of the Month ***

"...we don't know what technology Noah might have used to give each of the animals the best environment as possible. As for freshwater fish, Noah didn't need to have an aquarium. You are assuming that all the water around the earth had to be either SALTY or FRESH! And what basis do you have for this assumption? None. I personally would not know for sure whether the flood was all salty, partly salty in only certain regions of the globe, or all fresh, but I see no reason to not believe that some areas were salty and others fresh."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"You state that salt water and fresh water mix in a cup instantly... but has this been tested on a grand global scale? I'm not saying that the flood consisted of both fresh water and salty water simultaneously for sure. But even if the flood did have all fresh water, that does not mean these various sea creatures were not able to swim them."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"You guys can believe that you know better than Jesus does, that you created heaven and hell or that there isn't a heaven and hell. You can believe whatever you want to. But you will find out when you die who was right; you or Jesus. If you want to gamble with your souls and the souls of your children that you are right, then be my guest... Whatever profit you receive will be lost the day you die which could be as soon as today. Was it worth it? It might be to you, but do you not think your children should be given the choice to learn the words of eternal life? Or do you want to take that from them also?"
- Carico, ChristianForums

"Again, you will find out who is right or wrong, you or Jesus. That's the bottom line. Some people would rather die than to believe they are wrong. that of course is pride."
- Carico, ChristianForums

"If the question is 'If God told me to kill someone, would I do it?', my answer is 'Yes!' But, I am not sure this addresses the point of your post."
- Also_A_Theist, Internet Infidels

"Do you mean 'Why would I kill the person?' If so, the answer to that has been given--' Because God told me to!'

or do you mean,

'Why would I do what God tells me to do?'

Before I respond to this latter question, I would like to ask the following of you. Is your questioning here generated by the fact that you would not kill if God told you to, and are you, as a result, simply going to keep asking 'Why do that?' or 'Why is that? (or something like these) to every answer I give?"
- Also_A_Theist, Internet Infidels

"Is the question 'What would I do if God told me to do it? or 'What would I do if a 'voice in my head' told me to do it?' You seem to have collapsed the two questions, and they are not the same. As to whether or not I would be concerned, I would be very concerned-- I wouldn't find it easy to kill a person, but, if God told me to do it. But this isn't all that significant, is it? I can imagine being told by my father that I must kill someone, and doing so, because of the trust that I have in him, and in his concern for my well-being. I assume that many feel the same way about their parents and about their spouses. There are people who have faith in certain other people who will act on this faith, and there are people who say they have faith in another person, but really don't, and, of course, there are people there are cowards."
- Also_A_Theist, Internet Infidels

*** Post of the Week (2) ***

"I would like to think that I would be able to 'argue' with God... (Always bothered me about the Abraham story, didn't argue over his son, stood up over a 'godless' city. Weird.) But for all I know, if I've picked the wrong God and an new one showed up and told me to murder, I would do it to get in its good graces.

Before you all haul me off to the looney bin (at least not for this) I guess my point is that the gods I generally see depicted is too small. If the God of the O.T. is looking my direction, I would probably not live. This is NOT an entity to be trifled with."
- blt to go, Internet Infidels [Bold emphasis added]

"Yes you [a former Christian] talked the talk, but you never changed inwardly, like a dog returning to it's vomit. As soon as someone get's hungry for spiritual things you want to block out the light.you should be ashamed of yourself,is it not enough that you stand under condemnation without trying to bring others down with you.Kinda reminds me of the Devil. *** Post of the Week (3) ***

"Hello everyone, I am Helena , a Deliverance Minister in New Jersey... Yes, every Christian must learn how demons operate . You must be prepared to teach someone how to cast out demons... Do you know what the legal grounds demons have to stay in a person, land or home are? You could give demons legal grounds to stay in you or your home even if you or your relative has used a Ouiji Board ,Martial Arts, Yoga, Fornication only once. Have you read your horoscope in the newspaper at all in the past? Guess what ? You gave demons legal rights to be inside you.

Deuteronomy 7:26 Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house( The pepsi can has yin and yang symbol sideways on it,the color of the symobl should be white and black but is red , white and blue.) lest thou be a cursed thing lke it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it, for it is a cursed thing. Priase God!!!! THANK YOU LORD FOR YOU WORD...AMEN...AMEN...

Did you know that there was a cursed object on the Pepsi can, Salem cigarettes and Norton anti-virus box? The symbol is anti-christian. If you brought anything in your home with these symbols You had better be doing Deliverance in your home because you just gave demons the legal right to stay. You invited them in. Even if you are a Christian or not or you knew it or not. Getting headaches? Bad dreams? forgetful? Hmm!!!"
- deliveranceminister, Christianity.com Forums

"We are to cast out demons. Jesus said to do this mark 16:17. We can not expect God to do the work for us. If a Christian opens a door for demons he will be under attack. Have you had a pepsi lately? There is the yin and yang symbol on it. If you have brought it into your house with that cursed symbol on it you will be cursed also wheather you are a Christian or not... There is plenty of scripture that proves what I say. There is too much to write in this little space. Ok, Please give me a chance. I know what I'm talking about. I have experience casting out the demonic. I have seen things you would not believe."
- deliveranceminister, Christianity.com Forums

"the demons that entered you because of ancestors or what sin you committed are still in you until you cast them out... Are you getting bad headachs, bad dreams, colds that the doctors can cure (colds occur inside, not outside)."

"I have a lot of experience with the demonic and know what I'm talking about. You might be getting your information from a Pastor that does not know about demons. Most Pastors don't study the subject about deliverance or how demons operate. You are making a big mistake if you don't do what Jesus Christ said to do [perform exorcisms]. Learn about this or you are against Christ. I don't think you want to do that."
- deliveranceminister, Christianity.com Forums

"well my favorite subject is warefar Love it. God told me 'You are mighty warrior and I am all Mighty God do not be intimidated and do not fear' Love it and amen! "Anyway, You say you 'demonstrated' why that analogy was wrong, but you only demonstrated it throught rational common sense, and a highly analytical point of view. What you need to do is look at it creatively. See, there's this other way of thinking, besides 'rationaly'-it's called faith, and why you cannot understand that I don't know."

"OK. I'll be glad to [help you understand the Crusades]. Put simply so that your underdeveloped mind can understand, the Crusades were an answer to the followers of Satan (Muslims) trying to take over the world. They (the Muslims) were raping and killing anyone who would not bow down and worship the satanic god 'Allah' so good Christian men ran their sorry arses back into the desert. Understand? ;-)"

"It makes sense- We had this guy in our school last year talking about creation/evolution and apparently most dinosaurs were vegetarians, not the man-eating monsters they're made out to be! Dinos and humans could very well have co-inhabitaed the earth... Another thing to say is that saying to someone who believes in evolution that you don't believe it because the Bible says so, while being very true, simply will make you look as closed-minded as them. There are soooo many things which logically don't add up in the theory of evolution that it would be muchmore effective to quote them! "Well, it's pretty apparent that there is a God. If you don't admit it, you're just trying to fool yourself. You're not fooling God. The history of mankind has demonstrated decade after decade, millenium after millenium that they know that there is a God. They have developed multiple religions in trying to appease this God, because they know that they just don't measure up to his intellect, his holiness and/or his ultimate decision as to where they will spend their eternity... Plus, one thing I have noticed is that even unbelievers use Jesus Christ when they curse. Why don't they curse the Wizard of Oz? or Allah? or Buddha? I find this very interesting. I contend that it is because you are a slave to death.

My evidence is that you don't want to live forever.
My evidence is that you won't believe in anything that says you can.
My evidence is that you think life is bad, and can't wait for it to end.

And my final evidence is... because you simply refuse to get on your knees and pray for mercy. You can't. And that is because your freedom is chained. You are a slave until you ask to be released. But you won't ask. Why?"

- Riddick, ChristianForums

"You state that all these 'discoveries' are 'hoaxes'. And I say they arn't hoaxes. I could just as easily accuse TalkOrigins of being a hoax... I have a friend named Andrew who is part of the Ron Wyatt team. We both have a lot in common. He was at these sites himself, and he is convinced without a shadow of doubt that these ARE FOR REAL!... None of what you see in those sites are a hoax. I have connections with this team, and I know they are not liars!... You need to investigate that site throughly...reading the WHOLE story of Ron Wyatt's discovery of Noah's Ark from start to finish. Noah's Ark is not on Mount Ararat, it is in the MOUNTAINS (plural) of Ararat, and it is impaled on a rock just like the Ancient Civilization clues."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"Watch the [Ron Wyatt] videos Crosis, and maybe you'll see what I mean. I have a hard time believing that deep down inside you think these are hoaxes. Those links I gave you talk about a lot of convincing stuff, stuff that evolutionists have been at a loss for giving good explanations for."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"Also, I find it rather amusing that you can actually call these various discoveries 'lies' (such as Ron Wyatt planting the chariot wheels), when I could just as easily accuse evolutionists of lying to the public by planting bones in various places to suit their preconceived ideas and theories of how they 'evolved'. What if they are the ones lying instead?"
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"Finding new ways to solidify an argument is not necessarily a good thing. It only shows more so that this is what they want it to be. Evolutionists may believe that man evolved, but their theories are continually evolving as well. You may want to consider that a requirement to increase in knowledge if you want, but I do not if it is evident that there are way too many conflicting ideas. Evolutionist theories conflict with one another very often."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"It all boils down to one thing. People are trying in vain to explain the origins of the universe and the world without God, and it is just impossible. What that boils even further to is what's really sad. Not wanting any divine superior to rule over us or tell us what to do--to just do as you please without any restrictions of right or wrong. Whether this is admitted or not, that is the real 'crux' reason for why people's minds migrate toward the theories of the 'Big Bang' and Darwinism. No matter how hard one may try and rationalize that it is pure 'honesty', they will never convince me that the root of the matter is to be 'free' from worshipping an all intelligent master designer."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"Troylus, I've studied for myself, not influenced by anyone. I believe what I believe because it is the only way that adds up. There are literally thousands of Phd creation scientists who choose to believe in creation simply for the fact that evolution does not add up. Evolution has been proven wrong by creation scientists through much more material that you'd suppose--material you'd have to be willing to read--and not just articles, but books--many books."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

[Later]

"There we go again, 'their way of accrediting scientists'. I am well aware that evolutionist scientists outnumber creation scientists. I do not think however that they are fairly accrediting the many creation scientists outside of this sphere. There are many many scientists who believe in creation and support their facts really well, but have not acquired any Ph.D."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"Have you ever seen some of the photos from the Hubble Telescope of the vast colorful photos of the milky way? I seroiusly believe that Heaven is a planet with living beings. More exists in these photos than one might anticipate. In fact, there are literally thousands of planets with life on them(these are the so called Aliens), except they are not touched by sin. Planet earth was God's crowning creation of all the other planets in the universe, and since the Devil wanted to get back and God in any way he could, he chose this planet to tempt in which we fell."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"You people love science, and may love studying the universe. But what comfort it is to know that if we are faithful, a grand and glorious home awaits us! We will have eternity to explore the universe, explore new worlds---better than any graphics a computer game could ever give! We'll be right in touch with all the questions of science we ever dreamed! This just isn't about living in Heaven 'on a cloud playing a harp, singing with the angels and living with God forever.' People get a warped concept about what Heaven is all about. It is MUCH MUCH MORE than they could even begin to imagine. We will have eternity to take advantage of the most advanced technology in the universe---including who knows--perhaps mass panarama screens where we rewatch the history of the world unfold? In Heaven, we will be able to have our own powers to create and design our own planets...imagine designing your own planet just as you like...imagine eating the most delicious food ever tasted by living beings--food that our taste buds will automatically be adapted to!

You may think I'm going nuts, but I'm only trying to emphasize that heaven is a lot more to look forward to than you could even speculate. It's only yours if you choose. It's pretty simple actually."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"Sadly, you are probably more moral than most religious people, but this is not the point.... He [an atheist] still can easily turn aside and do immoral things simply for the fact that there is no restriction. On the other hand, however, when a Christian chooses right, he feels the necessity to do right because he knows there are eternal consequences at stake. So the barrier from holding believers in God to do wrong is much much greater than the barrier holding the non-believer from doing wrong. There are no eternal consequences... So if you really think about it, from an unbelievers perspective, there should be no such thing as 'right' or 'wrong', since 'right' and 'wrong' originated in heaven with the war against Lucifer, the archangel."
- Lysimachus, Someplace Somewhere

"Well I feel sorry for you then, because if you believe your existance is pointless, then that is up to you. As for me, I treasure existence and life. If that is how you feel, then so be it. And it is 'assumed' accurate up to 50,000 years. If you hear of carbon dating into millions of years, you are hearing a very confused and illogical report. 'The honest scientist, like the philosopher, will tell you that nothing whatever can be or has been proved with fully 100% certainty, not even that you or I exist, nor anyone except himself, since he might be dreaming the whole thing.'
LOL...not honest ones, but bias atheistic ones trying to cover their a$$, yes.

Or... 'There is so much evidence in support of this [people evolving from whatever] aspect of primate evolution that it qualifies as a fact by any common definition of the word 'fact.'

No facts. No references to support these supposed facts given as opinion. In 'fact' many of the claimed human fossil bones that supported such dribble have been proven to be fakes or hoaxes. And any found genuine human fossil remains have contradicted the theory of evolution. Many of them even taken out of museums to save embarrassment."

"I think it's important that you do not consider yourself more righteous. The Bible does make it very clear that homosexuality is something that God is not ok with. But it's also clear that adultery, incest, rape, murder, thievery, conning people, lying, usury, idolatry, etc, are not ok with Him either. That being said, I don't see any good argument to allow homosexual marriages. So what if they love each other? If a pedophile loves a 9 year old girl does that make it ok for them to marry? If not, why should the way one feels about another determine the right to marry? It's not about feelings...

Marriage is not a government institution; it is a Judeo-Christian institution. It is not up to the government of any state to redefine it... And no matter what the homosexual lobby says, and no matter what any judge says, they cannot change my mind about it, because my opinion is informed by God's Holy Scripture, which I believe to be infallible.

I also find it regrettable that adultery is not a crime in this country anymore... Women are not respected as they should be in our world anymore. The respect of a woman is not in considering her co-equal to a man, nor is it ensuring that she has the same employment opportunities as a man. Respect of a woman is to treat her as a Gift from God to all men... we are to keep them from harms way even if they don't like it."

And naturally they're all ears and eagerly want to hear his plan,as none of them is dumb enough to say 'Nah,not interested!' Yet amazingly that's what some people say to Jesus!
Here we are trapped in these bodies in this prison we call a world, with nothing in front of us except lonely graves, but Jesus tells us:- 'It doesn't have to be like that,I know a way out!'
Jesus tells us that if we follow him out, there's a mansion waiting for each of us in a paradise of a land ruled by his Father. Call me crazy, but that sounds like one helluva great deal to me,a lot better than a cold maggotty grave in a cemetery where people walk their dogs to pee and poo!>>"

If people wanted to own slaves, then yes. It would no longer be illegal and there would be no law against it. It would certainly make for an interesting debate though considering our country values freedom of ALL people above anything else.

[Replying to 'When slavery was legal in this country, and slaves escaped, were they disobeying God?']

"I said a few weeks ago that on May 17th,The day gay marriage's begin, that on the same day Condi Rice,Powell were meeting with Arabs and Palestinian PM Quriea to tell them they will have a Palestinian state. Also the EU was meeting to discuss their upcoming constitution Election on June 3rd.And look what has happend since last night China is warning Taiwan of 'Destruction'if they vote on independence,The U.S today moved the USS Kitty hawk into the East Asian region,as war continues to loom on the horizion. All on the same day As we become another Sodom.Coincedence?????I don't think so.a very active and troubled newsday.."
- tommyg, RaptureReady

"This is probably a dumb question, but are perverted marriages allowed legally in any other state, besides Massachuesetts?"
- mochamom, RaptureReady

"This Morning I Cried... It appears that 'Gay Marriage' is allowed."
- timd68, RaptureReady

"i couldn't believe it [gay marriage] has started here already, makes me want to cry too!"
- Sheila, RaptureReady

"Why couldn't you marry a 12 year old? GAY marriage is legal. Why can't I marry my boyfriend and girlfriend? GAY marriage is allowed. Satan is busy you see. He perverts everything God considers holy. Marriage being one of those holy things!"
- Catwoman, RaptureReady

"What will really be fun is watching all the Homosexuals of today responding to such things in abject horror, as if they are in no way responsible for it, and have the moral temerity to have an opinion on the subject! Then, in about ten years, Christians will start saying - 'Well, he's gay, but AT LEAST he isn't sleeping with his brother!! I guess he's ok!'"
- crtwhlfrchrst, RaptureReady

"I HIGHLY doubt we'll be here in 10 years. Not with the way things are going now."
- AJSHOPE, RaptureReady

"This is unbelievable. . . just heard one of the newly married gay women saying how much she loved being an American, how much she loves this country. . . since she can now be married to her girlfriend. It's a shame most of them will be voting democrat-- and NOT showing a love for the men and women defending their right to live here!"
- RobinB, RaptureReady

"I put nothing pass the liberal courts of today. Nothing. They don't think logically and certainly they don't care what Christians think"
- Catwoman, RaptureReady

"What an awful sense of foreboding I had while watching (on live TV) the raucus celebration... This time I think the country has really managed to give God a massive poke in the eye. Beyond that I am speechless! I am afraid for the country and the world."
- scottruff, RaptureReady

"Is God's hammer about to fall???... Tomorrow, Mass. allows the abomination to be celeberated/tolerated/etc. I personally think this is a unique thing. It's symbolic, and the media knows it and has been covering it. We have done or crossed a line, in my opinion, that demands actions. I'm not by any means calling God out, or saying he has to do something, but if God wanted to make a statement, or send a sign or signal, it'd be awfully ironic/or sense of timing to do it now, like a big bad thing. I'm not a prophet, trust me, and I'm not predicting things, but perhaps the US is in for some trouble, such as terrorism, market panic, military defeat. I don't know, I'm just rambling."
- rbruns, RaptureReady

"It's only a matter of time, before wrath of Biblical levels is evident to ALL."
- Mongoose60, RaptureReady

"Unless the decision does get reversed....God has no choice other than to punish this nation. If we don't eventually 'pay the piper',God owes an apology to Sodom and Gomorrah...since He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow....we are in serious trouble."
- Angel01, RaptureReady

"Stock Market down -106 points... YES GOD'S HAMMER IS FIXING TO FALL BIG TIME so be ready."

"Just reported this morning, that the Iraqi council head, was taken care of by the terrorists."

"My question is, 'Would God Judge the Rightious with the Sinner?' I think we'll be raptured before He punishes the U.S. for dividing the Holy Lands."
- SavedbyGod, RaptureReady

"I am the same way. I think the demons are having their field day with true Christians much more these days. At least they are in my case."
- msjagcat777, RaptureReady

"If I was the general in charge I'd bring 'em all home, and let the sparadic killing hopefully fade away since the leaving of troops would make them have no reason to kill anymore, then they can govern and deal with the few trouble makers. This 'war' is over, Saddam is gone ( great job ) and a new day is dawning for Iraq."
- Speedy, RaptureReady

"We can start a nuclear war with everyone and his neighbours or we can stick to our own borders, not caring what goes on in the world. Either way, the world is in a sorry state and it's all about the sickest religion of all - ISLAM!"
- new believer, RaptureReady

*** Mind Reader of the Month ***

"Your average Muslim sitting in a US mosque may not want to join in the killing of 'Jihad' but he certainly is not against its end result, Muslim domination."
- Bondservant, RaptureReady

"...Russia has a deep stake in this and she is no friend of the US. The Russians have always been patient...consider Gorbachev's statement speaking to the Politburo:
'Gentlemen, comrades, do not be concerned about all you hear about glasnost and perestroika and democracy in the coming years...Our purpose is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep.'
...Just what would give Russia's the idea that they will be free to attack Isreal in Ezk.38-39 if we are not already a 'non-threat' of retaliation to the Russians? Will they have already 'disarmed us and put the giant to sleep'?"
- Bondservant, RaptureReady

"And to be Free isnt about constitutional freedom either. Freedom, in its truest form, comes from belief in Christ and is a gift from God to his children."
- Bethshaya, RaptureReady

*** Date Setter of the Month ***

"The day [of the Rapture?] is coming....... Probably much closer than anyone wants to think about. I'm thinking sometime in June maybe?"
- tenor, RaptureReady

"why do all these [Iraq] complainers seem to speak english so very well? I would still pay to be in this prison than be in the hands of the terrorists. So the poor PRISONERS had to wear women clothing.....ohhhhhhh the torture!!"
- Gil22, RaptureReady

*** "Why NOT Bring Back Time-Tested Conversion Methods?" Award ***

[Replying to "one soldier continued to abuse him by striking his broken leg and ordered him to curse Islam... 'They ordered me to thank Jesus I'm alive,' he said"] "Hey maybe stepping on the poor guys broken legs was the best thing to ever happen to him. Sounds like it wasn't though.............................."
- Gil22, RaptureReady

"Come on now..... the poor Iraqi PRISONER did get his broken leg stepped on to save us cruel American civilians. Something to think about? Nope..Iv'e thought enough...."
- Gil22, RaptureReady

"While this is horrible, we have to realise that the men and women that did this abuse are more than likely nonChristian. They are in a land [Iraq] that is demon ridden and therefore can be influenced or possessed to do these horrible things. (Not making excuses just stating facts.) We should not be surprised when unsaved people act horribly. Their father is the author of horrible."
- mrsppmrxky, RaptureReady

"Your emotional outrage for this and feelings towards Christains who support justice seems/ No is more than a little one sided. Cant remember any post where you were outraged over the deaths of our servicemen and women and contractors. In fact you entire statement is dripping with Im better Christain than you. You and I both no thats not true and last time I checked was forbidden here on the RR board."
- Kendall Crawfor, RaptureReady

"Where is our sympathy for Nick Berg???? His family??? Why do we insult his legacy and suffering by spending more time and effort by certain people to express outrage over the scandals, in which no one WAS KILLED. This is hypocrisy, this whole thread."
- rbruns, RaptureReady

"Also to condem all of us Christians over what some (most probably) non-Christians did is also wrong. Do you really believe that any of those responsable for these atrocities are actually Christian? This is probably the first time in a long while that they have used the name Jesus Christ in any way other than as a cuss word.!!"
- Lightfoot, RaptureReady

"How did Jesus respond to the moneychangers in His Fathers house? With loving Kindness? "
- jfreeman, RaptureReady

"Yes it's sad that prisoners have been abused but would they rather we cut their heads off with a knife?"
- new believer, RaptureReady

"I do think the actions of those few soldiers has been roundly condemned, here and elsewhere, though... To sit back and do nothing in a time of war against evil nations with evil intentions is to be complicit with what those evil nations are doing... You really have to look at all the facts. I don't mean this sarcastically, but a group hug just doesn't cut it sometimes."
- faline, RaptureReady

"Let me ask you...is it more humane -- is it loving -- to allow evil to overtake the world because we are so busy having a group hug that we did nothing to stop it? Do you think that if we stop and reason with people who believe that Mohammad was a prophet of God and that Allah reins, war will stop? War won't stop...it'll just wind up on your doorstep, in your backyard."
- faline, RaptureReady

"No one on here has advocated the terrible things those unbelievers did to the Iraqis in Iraq at Abu Graib (sp?)."
- antsinmypants, RaptureReady

"Now, I'm sure some will not agree with me on this but I believe torture is usefull in obtaining intelligence, what happened in the prison was not this, what happened there was just plain evil, but as ugly as it is there are times in war where torture to a degree has to be used."
- jfreeman, RaptureReady

"I did not say it was alright to sodomize a 15 year old boy, that is obviously wrong. But to obtain information that could save many American lives from a MAN by inflicting some pain on him has to be done on occasion."
- jfreeman, RaptureReady

*** Non Sequitur of the Month ***

"Homosexuals assert that they are 'born' homosexual. If true, this is obviously some sort of defective genetic mutation... Further, since homosexuals, by nature, cannot reproduce, which aids in the survival of the species, why should any rights be granted them period?"
- Furyus George, Internet Infidels

"A monkey brain is a monkey brain and a human brain is a human brain. I have seen no evidence that a monkey brain is evolving into a human brain."
- Apologist4Him, TheologyWeb

*** Post of the Month ***

"You shouldnt believe those [apocryphal] stories. They arent in the Bible because God didnt wish them to be there. Maybee cos they arent true and they are made up! The stories were made up after Jesus died by people who liked to make up legends. Have you heared the one of Jesus when he was a child, how he made birds come to life out of dirt...riduculus!"
- Danny65, POD Warrior Forum

"I'm not sure how to explain this, but I work in a casino, and had a demon show himself to me through players at my table on 3 separate occassions. It's like, for a split second, I'd glace at them, and there would be the demon, glaring right at me with a twisted, evil look. Then, when I'd look back, the player's face would be back to normal - joking, laughing, smiling, etc."
- MercifullySaved, RaptureReady

*** Testimonial of the Month, a.k.a. the "Who Needs to Call 911 when you have God" award ***

"Yes, I have physically seen demons, and had them in my room. I also have seen miracles happen, such as one of our members @ synogogue had OD'd on his Sinus medication (without knowing that's what it was) and had a terrible headache. There were three nurses there at Midrash (investigative Biblestudy) that day, and we all stopped what we were doing, laid hands on him and prayed. He could have EASILY had a heart attack, but because of our prayer, within 10 minutes, his symptoms (high BP, red face & neck, Shakiness, Blurry Vision and headache) were all gone!!"
- antsinmypants, RaptureReady

"this nation is messed up bigtime, we're no better than any other country, the biggest difference is that we have this thing called the constitution, and it's what keeps us real Christians from being tortured and beaten and killed like what we see going on in so many other countries right now."
- CJaredo7, RaptureReady

*** History 101 Honor Roll ***

"The Radical Muslims do not want peace in any part of that region. They want one thing ONLY: The Death of all Jews everywhere (US included) and to take over their land. There is no peace in their agendas. Only bloodshed wherever they are. For 2000 years, there has been bloodshed because of their Anti-Semitic views..."
- Bethshaya, RaptureReady

"I am so sick about hearing all the woes of these poor arabs in prison... THE PRISONERS THIS , the prisoners that... ENOUGH... You want to love these enemies...I say hunt the killers down BEFORE they kill you and or your family. Get off the liberal band wagon and get on the Holy Spirit train...the TRUTH shall set you free."
- CanaanBound, RaptureReady

[To a woman asking for advice on what to do with her pregnant daughter, who filed for divorce] "Hopefully you chastise her for her indiscretions and refuse to help her until she changes her ways. I've seen such women. The flout the law and as, 'What did I do?' Such 'women or people' learn too late the folly of their ways."
- desi, ChristianForums

"A woman divorcing a 'good man' or even a bad man is contrary to what my Bible says about Jesus's stance on divorce, which was 'a man can divorce a wife for fornication if he wants to'. Its not a question of control so much as a choice of acting based on what Jesus says or what is 'easier' at the time. Chastising an adult child must be hard but if they are wrong what are you left to do?"
- desi, ChristianForums

*** Misogynist of the Month ***

"Yes, he did recognize cheaters. He also recognized the differences between men and women and why divorce should be afforded to one sex and not the other. If you look at which sex initiates most divorces you will too."
