Our favorite photo of the whole lot, taken in the secluded and beautiful California Redwood Forest. Not a single insect or other critter bothered us as we walked along, admiring the huge trees, streams, fallen ancient logs, and so on.

Crater Lake, one of the most pristine and deepest lakes in the world. We received many a recommendation to check it out, and for good reason. It became about #1 on our list of things to see, and didn't disappoint.

Both of us leaning on a fence outside her house, enjoying the view and each other's company... a few days before we had to go back to New York.
