Photos from our wonderful March 9th - March 23rd trip to Grants Pass, Oregon

Allan and Jessica holding each other in the California Redwood Forest

Our favorite photo of the whole lot, taken in the secluded and beautiful California Redwood Forest. Not a single insect or other critter bothered us as we walked along, admiring the huge trees, streams, fallen ancient logs, and so on.

Allan under a formidable redwood

Myself, Allan, standing next to the most humongous tree ever. One could build an apartment in there if the Parks Department wouldn't whine at you!

Jessica next to the Rogue River.

My darling, Jessica, standing next to the picturesque Rogue River.

Allan and Jess at the Lost Creek reservoir

Us both at Lost Creek reservoir; we spent over an hour just sitting at a picnic table, admiring this beach for as long as possible. It was one of the most spectacular views I'd seen to date. Until...

Crater Lake National Park, one of Oregon's finest locales

Crater Lake, one of the most pristine and deepest lakes in the world. We received many a recommendation to check it out, and for good reason. It became about #1 on our list of things to see, and didn't disappoint.

Sunset at Harris Beach, on Oregon's coast

The beautiful sunset at Harris Beach, on the Oregon coast. What a gorgeously scenic state, indeed!

Twilight at Harris Beach

Twilight at the same Harris Beach. While it was too windy to stay for long, both the several-hour long drive and the short glimpse of its beauty were well worth it.

Allan in a cowboy hat at Applebee's

Myself at Applebee's, wearing a cowboy hat. This is one of the (very) few photos of me I actually like... I wish I could put it on an ID card, instead of the weird ones I have now!

Allan petting an evil rabbit

Me, recklessly petting an apparently possessed bunny. It belongs to Aimee, Jessica's sister, and looks excessively mean--and ready to strike--in this picture.

Allan and Jessica outside her home

Both of us leaning on a fence outside her house, enjoying the view and each other's company... a few days before we had to go back to New York. It was so fun there, I practically wanted to stay forever... But such is life! We're both looking forward to seeing tons of great places like that in future.
