Can someone help me by letting me know some verses that prove that animals don't have feelings? It is so logical and is common sense, but it never occured to me to remember where the Word says so. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Interesting -- the poster doesn't ask whether this is in the Bible, but simply asks where it is because it is "logical and common sense" (?!?) and for some reason assumes that the Bible MUST have some comment on this issue! [Edit to add: And, furthermore, assumes not only that the Bible DOES agree with him, but also that whatever it says is worthwhile.]
This says an awful lot more about the poster's biases and mindset than it does about religion, but it doesn't reflect well on the latter, either.
It's "logical and common sense" that animals don't have feelings, eh? Ladies and gentlemen, I present robnewbold: Moron or Monster?

Problem is, that's the way fundies work it. They twist their book to conform with their idea of how we should all behave, and when all else fails, they lie or re-write the book.
Not sure if the scripture says anything about animals having feelings, but let's see what we can find about animals, hm?
Psalm 36:6
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike , O Lord.
Psalm 150:6
Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Psalm 145:9
The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.
To name a few.
Animals have feelings. Not near as complex as those generated by the human brain, but they have them. They think, breathe, and act. Well, not all of them breathe. Whatever.
One of these days I'm just going to wipe out homo sapiens. That whole 'sentient' thing went horribly awry when I introduced that to monkey DNA.
I come from a fundie baptist church background, and I remember a sermon my pastor taught on this subject. He said that humans have a spirit and a soul, but animals only have a spirit. He defined "spirit" as emotions. Animals feel emotion, but have no soul they don't go to heaven. He didn't so much use verses but said if "you kick a dog it gets angry" hence spirit, but no moral code so no soul. It was an odd sermon. It's stuck with me through the years because it was so... wtf?
Anyway, if my fundie pastor said animals have feelings, I'm pretty sure you're not gonna find any verses (or many fundies) that will back up your opinion. Because calling it "so logical and is common sense" does not make it so.
I have two kittens, brother and sister, who cuddle up with me every night, who love each other, really enjoy their kitten food, and are well-able to inform me just when they're angry with me.
Fuck you.
My Dear robnewbold,
Verses don't prove anything.
For just one example:
Jesus says, in the book of Mark,
that the mustard seed is the smallest
of all the seeds on earth.
That is a verse in the Bible
Orchid seeds are smaller and so are
the seeds of the redwood tree.
So, as you see, a verse is not proof.
Now about animals.
Animals DO have feelings.
You, however, probably don't.
Well, the bible does contain very graphic descriptions of how and when to sacrifice animals. Some people might take this to mean that at least some animals don't have feelings. Personally though, I think it says more about a god that craves blood than it does about animals.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
