[On the UU church shooting]
It's quite the opposite really. 99% of the school and church shootings were done by liberal atheists. Now that there has been the first shooting in a "liberal" church the liberal media is pointing the finger at right wing extremists (people) but when an atheist liberal goes on a shooting spree they point the finger at the guns and blame them instead of the left wing extremist (person) that was really responsible. Pretty slanted news reporting don’t you think?

Wow, I have never seen such a perfect example of historical revisionism.
Do you spend your days sitting in a dark room making this shit up?
Insanity has no religion, but I have noticed that many fundies of all flavors are insane.
University of Texas at Austin massacre - Charles Whitman believed in heaven, and probably had a mental disorder.
California State University, Fullerton library massacre - Edward Charles Allaway - a mental disorder.
Cleveland Elementary School shooting - Brenda Ann Spencer - fucking insane.
Lindhurst High School - Eric Houston - despondent over loss of a job and for failing HS.
Simon's Rock College of Bard shooting - Wayne Lo - enraged over his exclusion by fellow students due to his racist, homophobic, and and anti-semitic views.
Frontier Junior High shooting - Barry Loukaitis - bullied and harassed by fellow students.
Virginia Tech massacre - Cho Seng Hui - history of severe mental problems
Do I need to go on, you dumbass?
99.99 per cent of all fundie statistics emerge from straight out of their arses.
Here's another one: 99 per cent of all school and church shooters were raised in fundie families. Not necessarily fundie themselves, being intelligent (a common feature) but from that background. Believe this or not.
fergus
You keep using this word 'liberal' I do not think it means what you think it means.
I don't believe any shootings have been blamed on guns. Gun culture maybe. But that's obvious enough, if guns weren't available, you have far fewer shootings.
98.6% of statistics are made up on the spot, thank you for the demonstration Steve.
As stated by a fellow contributor further up the page most of the shootings in America (or at least the high profile public massarces) are perpetrated by people who are insane. In the case of the UU shootings a 'Christian' walked into a church and blew away fellow 'Christians' whilst a kids performance was taking place. A real humane fellow, following the bible's great example of love thy neighbour, he was upset that these 'Christians' were allowed to think for themselves and had rejected the 'fire and brimstone' - 'repent the end is nigh' apocalyptic sermons by the Christian far right and had chosen to take a more 'liberal' stance.
In other words they were closer to the biblical message of 'turn the other cheek' and 'judge not lest yea be judged', and they were massarced for it, by a man who thought that Bill O'Really's message for America was the only way forward. Give up freedoms as freedom brings moral decay, stop thinking for yourselves as you are retards and let us, your happy chappy right wing, bigoted 'Christian' controllers do the thinking for you. We will decide what morals you will have and we will decide what freedoms (if any) you are capable of having.
Steve McClure, I petty you and anyone who knows you well enough to value your opinion. The shooter was a right-wing neo-conservative Christian who killed other Christians for not interrpreting the bible in the same manner he had done.
Now try and imagine a paradise, with no religion.
Well, considering how I was one of those "trench coat mafia" types who suffered constant berating and threats from Christians in high school, I can understand how they would go on a shooting spree. I often daydreamed of nukes falling out of the sky obliterating all of Texas. I grew up, though, and decided those people deserve my sympathy rather than antipathy.
This guy, however, listened to extreme right wing pundits and followed through on their words. I'd say that's a hell of a difference.
This statistic is, like the Bible, totally fabricated in order to appease fellow fundies.
Lying is a sin, and lying for Jesus doubly so.
Um, no, fairly sure most shootings are done by mentally disturbed sociopath.
"right wing extremists (people)"
????
People? As opposed to what? Right wing extremist horses?
Or are those of us who aren't right wing extremists not considered human anymore?
Also, I'd like to point out that it's nearly impossible to spot a school shooter in time because no one shooter is like enough to another to create a comprehensive proflie without putting thousands of others who will never kill another person or themselves, in the same catagory. My citation? My psychology/sociology teacher.
Liberals push the stupid fucking idea that the solution to school shootings is invasive mental health counseling, while the counselors themselves have NO idea what they are talking about. The solution is so fucking obvious... STOP CENSORING SCHOOL PRAYER!!!! Let's take the Columbine shooters for example. Eric Harris was a homosexual who hated Christians. Dylan Klebold was raised in a Jewish family and was taught Marxist idealogies. Both of them hated Christians, and neither studied the bible nor worshipped the ONE TRUE GOD.
-----------
Cho Sueng Hui would claim that Christians in his school were "Crucifying him. He railed against his parents' strong Christian faith.
On his arm he had qritten "Ismail" which is the MUSLIM spelling for "Ishmael",a patriarch for the MUSLIM faith.
@Waiting For God: Ah...I submitted this quote, mon compagnion. I'm a liberal bisexual atheist whose worst crime is being a bit duplicitous at some points- I'd never say anything like the fucktard I quoted.
And Bill O'Reilly sucks. Just might as well put that out there.
@creativerealms
