[They're turning on EA now]
Yesterday I found out about a new game called Spore when my son asked me to buy it for him. It looked innocent enough at first and has “E for Everyone” ESRB rating. But don’t be mislead, apparently “everyone” means everyone they want to teach evolution to.
This entire game is propaganda aimed directly at our children to teach them evolution instead of creationism, or “intelligent design” if you go for stupid PC terms.
The object of the game is to evolve from a “spore” into demon-like intelligent space creatures that violently take over the galaxy.

Yeah this is fake.
It would be awesome if the Bible did that, though.
"And the Lord God said unto Abraham, 'iiiiiii just wanna tell you how I'm feeeelin' Gotta make you - understand. Never gonna thou give up, never gonna let thou dooown'"
Ok, I get that it's a hoax (and it took me a bit, since I started skimming over the Bible quotes). I am disappointed that you don't get to become a demon-like space creature, though. That would be cool.
I knew I would see this eventually.
Crap! They've cracked our "E for Everyone" code and now know it's short for "Evolution for everyone"! I guess we'll have to change it to "C for no one".
Fake? Oh, ok. I wouldn't know because I never look at the source or read the comments before posting. Hey, life's short, especially if there's no afterlife.

And Abraham said unto the Lord God, 'Sage'
Well, this might be fake, but from what I've been reading there actually ARE people out there objecting to Spore because it "teaches evolution".
I don't get how stupid those people are. Spore has nothing to do with evolution whatsoever. It is Intelligent Design, pure and simple. You take ready-made body parts like eyes and mouths and place them where you want them to be.
No gradual improvement, no natural selection, lots of intervention of an intelligence, an actual target to reach, always getting bigger and better... That is a perfect description of some variants of intelligent design, and a description of some of the stupidest evolution-bashers idea of evolution.
It's a fun game, but I hate that people think that it has anything to do with evolution. Shows how the educational system is lacking, all over the world.

-Proves what I've been saying for years: Stock, Aitken and Waterman are the Holy Trinity and Rick Astley is their prophet.
Number one: your spore creatures can turn out peacful if you play em right.
Number two: The only thing bad about this game is the screwy marketing scam they pulled where it is more like renting the game then owning it.
Number three: This guy probably feels the same way about Pokemon and Digimon.
Man cannot make a worm, yet be creating gods by dozens.
I've often said on this, and other, sites that man has invented 6718 gods throughout his history.
Over 2850 of them can be found on http://Godchecker.com
The remainder consists of associated angels, demons, and the mushrooming names eminating from PC and Internet games, so when I reached the proverbial 6718, I decided to call it a day in keeping track of them. The disturbing fact is that there are some that actually believe that these new found gods exist.
So if you want a god to suit your agenda, all you have to do is conjure up a name, and hey presto! you have your all-powerful one-true god with which you can instil fear into the gullible.
So unbelievers, on your knees and testify to the power of Brownklowd! and his only prophet Flatulus the Wet!
if this is the same I've seen in websites, isn't spore teching both in a way since you have to oh, MAKE THE FUCKING CREATURE FIRST?
Why aren't people who know evolution not in arms for it pushing creationists bullshit?
Ah, fake, i fail
Why don't the fundies attack Spore, anyway? They went after Golden Compass, Harry Potter, and even the Narnia Chronicles. Why not this?
... did they just rickroll us in the most recent post? Obviously a Poe.
I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't people who did agree with this, though.
Or peacefully establish trade routes with other creatures.
In fact I'd have thought the Creationists would hail this game as some kind of vindication of ID - its closer to that than the real theory of evolution. I was actually quite disappointed that this is so.
I know the post is fake n'all, but I think it is only a matter of time before real clippings about Spore make their way onto here. I just don't know if it'll be a condemnation or not.
EDIT: They attacked Narnia? wtf? That was written with the express purpose of being an allegory for Christianity.

In that case, admin had better not hear about the likes of Populous, SimLife, Age of Empires et al, else he'll have an aneurysm.
Oh wait...
Confused?
