A "creation science" textbook maybe.
Try reading something based on real science sometime, something that's peer reiewed perhaps.
Big bang: Astrophysics.
Natural selection: Biology.
The only connection between the two is that life as we know it needs a planet to live on.
Are you sure you know how to read? Are you trying to tell me that sheep can read now? Are you making an inadvertent point for evolution?

Sheep of El is:
(A) referring to creationist propaganda 'textbooks.'
(B) misunderstanding what he has read in science books, probably due to poor reading comprehension.
(C) lying.
For extra credit: What will Sheep of El's response be to the fact that most of our technological advances - including his computer - have come through changes in scientific knowledge?
NonProphet: For extra credit: What will Sheep of El's response be to the fact that most of our technological advances - including his computer - have come through changes in scientific knowledge?
"That's technology , not science . They have nothing to do with each other!"
(followed by the ignoring of any argument to the contrary)
Sheep of El has the average fundie understanding of anything scientific. Zero.
If it isn't in the Bible, it doesn't exist. Never mind the fact that virtually everything that makes our lives more comfortable and safe has been achieved because of scientific development of the past several centuries.
Face facts, fundie idiots, if we relied exclusively on your holy books for our development we wouldn't be having these discussions, at least not electronically over the Internet.
Science changes over time because new discoveries are made all the time.
Religion is the same old bullshit now as it was two thousand years ago.
""The textbooks I studied from proclaimed that the big bang was the starting cause of natural selection.
Really? Can you remember the name of one of those textbooks?
Was the name of one of them "101 Facts I Yanked Out of My Ass" by any chance?
The big bang was the start/beginning of the universe, twit.
I think you read a fundie misinformation book, because no scientific book equates the big bang with the start of natural selection, as a circuitous argument to gainsay natural selection.
Just one of the many claims of "science" that has changed over the years.
This is a fundie "argument" that keeps coming up, but I'm afraid I'll never quite understand it. When will these idiots get it through their heads that science changing is a good thing? It means we're refining our theories.
Your Wholly Babble remaining the same for two thousand years doesn't mean it's correct, it just means it's as wrong now as it was two thousand years ago!

But if we change it, it means science was wrong the first time. And since science can be wrong, we can't trust it because maybe scientists will change their minds tomorrow and say what is true today is no longer true. [/sarcasm]
"Text Books", "Studied" , "Proclaimed"..
I have never heard of any text book, and definitely not any science text book "Proclaim" anything. Me thinks you Lie. You have never read or studied anything in your entire life. What a waste of a life.
Of course the Big Bang was the "starting cause of natural selection," if you accept that it was the starting cause of EVERYTHING. However, I'd say that's just a coincidence, and that you are just a really pathetically baaaad liar, Sheep of El.
~David D.G.
Okay, now I know you're lying.
No science textbook says any such thing. A creationist book (regarding how they THINK natural selection works), maybe, but not anything based even remotely in real science.
EDIT: Stupid "submit" button... my post wasn't finished.
It should have read:

Had I not been half-awake when I first commented, I wouldn't have overlooked the part of the OP that I missed.
Confused?
