YOU MIGHT BE AN ATHEIST FUNDAMENTALIST IF...
You claim that evolution and the big bang are two entirely separate theories that explain different aspects of the universe, yet, in what school of learning can you find any real separation or distinction between the two?

Pick one. Go ahead, pick one. Hell, pick three.
Why is it that it's always the religious fundamentalists who can't tell the difference between evolution and the Big Bang theory? Just because their creation myth has everything all wrapped up in one story with the moral of "Goddidit," they think that science sees no difference between evolution and Big Bang.
The school of learning that distinguishes between "biology" and "astrophysics."
In other words, EVERY school of learning except xian "science."
Hmmm! Is Buzzardhut unable to differentiate between the two? Perhaps he can point us to a legitimate school of learning that does not distinguish between the biological changes of life over time and the physical beginnings of the universe but instead counts them as being of the same fields of study. Perhaps the two words biology and physics conform to the usual fundie word redefinition practice in that words can mean whatever a fundie wants them to mean.
In fact, it might be that we are all misinterpreting Buzzardhut's meaning altogether. Perhaps he is actually saying, "I admit to being a blundering wrong-un, and I need to get an education. Sorry for banging on about my outrageously crazy anal-rocketry ideas but er, soon you'll see, er soon.", and we are merely misconstruing his actual meaning.
Pretty sure even in my GCSE-level science education, they were not only taught completely seperately, but taught in different subjects entirely, i.e. evolution in Biology, the Big Bang in Physics.
I'm sure RRers fail to grasp even such basic subject areas of science, though. It's all the evul librul agenda!
*facepalm* Some of those... ugh.
They don't realize that when people call Christianity a stone age belief, they don't literally mean the stone age.
They arent even connected in any way, shape, or form. I tried for a long time to come up with a way that they are related, and all I came up with was that if the Big Bang hadnt created the universe, evolution couldnt have taken place.
Thats a huge stretch though, and you dont understand either theory well enough to arrive at that conclusion on your own.
If a new theory comes along that better describes the state of the universe or offers better insights into its' origins then the Big Bang Theory, biologists will not need to change their textbooks.
At all.
They are not the same just because you preceive them both as being anti-bible.
Buzzardhut, you may be the dumbest motherfucker on the internets.
Big Bang is cosmology. Evolution is biology. Buzzardhut is a fucking cunt.
Edit: Cosmology, not astrophysics. Fail for me =/
Are you claiming the Big Bang Theory is taught in Biology classes?
If you are, You've been Hovindized
In every school system I've ever heard of.
One is biology, the other is astrophysics or cosmology. Two different scientific fields entirely.
Abiogenesis and the Big Bang are closer to each other than Evolution and the Big Bang. At least both Abiogenesis and the Big Bang deals with the origin of something.
Evolution deals with change over time, no beginning, no end.
Evolution and the Big Bang are actually much more separated and distinct than the Bible and Harry Potter are.
Hey, now. Be fair to Buzzardhut. It may be that he hasn't ever been to school past Elementary. I remember in 3rd or 4th grade there was a little study unit about the origins of things that was basically "A long time ago, the big bang. 4.5 billion years ago, Earth. About 2billion years ago, Life emerged. Then evolution happened, and now we have the animals of today." If that was the last time he studied science, I can see how Buzzardhut would be confused.
Um, in any school of learning worthy of the name? In other words, in any school of learning that doesn't just "teach" creationist crap.
Just like any half decent school doesn't teach economics in geography class.
It's like claiming Henry Ford had to invent the internal combustion engine, not just rubber tires but wheels, axles, oil refination, metal ore mining and metal forging, springs and seats,,,,etc.
By the way HE DIDN'T.
The Earth was here, oddly enough Evolution of life on Earth begins after the Earths existance.
Formation of Galaxies is even seperated from the beginning of the universe as it's a study of the steady, relatively stabilized state.
They actually know these things are connected in a timeline only. That stellar formation is a study that includes the formation of all stellar bodies and forces. And that the the study of anything on Earth applies itself only to the substance and conditions applicable only to this one Earth.
This is the moving of the goalposts ploy and the comment is probably a verbetam recitation of some creationist literature. Evolution is proven, they can't fight it but even the greatest Physicists won't (since they're honest and only are sure of what's proven)claim they know if it happened the way they have surmised.
And the religious say that gives them the edge because they (being dishonest) say they know Godditit.
TBF to Muddlehead, evolution requires a freaking long time, the BBT provides that freaking long time (kind of), so....
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
