Well, that is a good proof. I can't find any of Glooscap's artifacts either, that proves he's in heaven too!
Sorry for being obtuse.
There are many Marys in the Bible - Magdalene, the Virgin, sister of Lazarus, etc. Which of the Marys left artifacts and which did not?
Kolni's argument rests on his assumption that, since his Mary did not leave artifacts, she went to heaven. To come up with that, he must have come across research that the other Marys (who seemed to have been contemporaries) did leave artifacts and so did not go to heaven.
Hence, my question. Which Mary had the foresight to pack all her belongings before boarding?
Kolni must also have a list of all of Mary's belongings, otherwise one artifact left behind would disprove his assumption.
Of course, the most logical conclusion would be the bible is just fiction and the Assumption is just a myth perpetrated by the Catholic Church - similar to virgin birth and papal infallibility.
Watson: She must have gone elsewhere, Holmes, there's nothing of hers here.

Say it with me, folks:
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
And it sure as heck isn't evidence of some alleged mythical figure having ascended bodily, physically, into an equally alleged mythical heaven!

The truth is, it is a matter of faith for those who believe. People of those days didn't really have muchin the line of personal possessions, more especially such as could easily be identified with any individual from among the masses.
Does anyone else watch the Boondocks? I'm reminded of Rummie, Ed Wuncler's crazy friend, who said "there are knowns, unknowns and unknown unknowns. There are things we didn't know we didn't know." Reminds me of every fundie on this site.
Okay, I can't bring myself to rant at this one.
Yes, we all know that, in all likelihood, Mary never existed (thus the lack of artifacts).
Yes, this person is using the old "if there's no evidence, you can't prove it didn't happen!" way of justifying his beliefs.
But really, it's not as bad as some of his other posts, I'm sure. I mean, just look at his post history.
Confused?
