In Genesis description there is no rain and everything is spring fed.
The surface of the ground is watered by dew.
The salty oceans are cause by rain and erosion dissolving salts from the soil which eventually contaminate the oceans.
At the time of the flood there was only fresh water.
Actually the time of the flood can be approximated by projecting how long it would take to bring a fresh water ocean to the current salt contamination level.

Yes, and the calculation says 240,000,000 years. If you project how long it would take to bring a fresh water ocean to the current aluminum contamination level, it says the earth is 100 years old. The calculation doesn't seem to be worth much.
"In Genesis description there is no rain and everything is spring fed."
That one way we can tell that the Genesis story is wrong.
"The surface of the ground is watered by dew."
Genesis doesn't say that.
"The salty oceans are cause by rain and erosion dissolving salts from the soil which eventually contaminate the oceans."
And from millions and millions of generations of dead flora and fauna.
"At the time of the flood there was only fresh water."
At the time of the Flood? When was that exactly? Oh, wait, that's right, there is no credible evidence of there every being any such flood.

Actually, not.
Considering the fact that most fresh-water fish cannot live in the ocean and vice-versa, that means evolution would have to have occurred at some point.
You fail by your own reasoning! GOD, you are such a loser!
In Genesis there is no description of electricty. Or Computers either but you are using one.
As for your nonsense as to what causes rain.
Eee vap or A shun. Say this with me. Evaporation, which then causes rain and the dew. When the temperature goes up, water evaporates, no matter what the source. When the temperature drops, it becomes rain or dew.
Fundies really need to do more than burn science books, they need to read them.
The surface of the ground is watered by dew.
Reminds me of this one:
Sweet young thing, accepting a bouquet from her blushing beau: "Why thank you, Henry. How thoughtful. I do believe there's still a little dew on them."
Henry: "Well, yeah, but I'll have it all paid off next week."
In Genesis description there is no rain and everything is spring fed.
You don't know how a spring works, do you?

Not so fast, Professor. In the beginning, there were all fresh water fish, that much we know from studies and the most recent data from the top expert scientists.
But then the fish had to become salt water fish as the oceans got more salty. Yes, that much is true. So what happened is that the LORD made these fish with a biological mechanism that allowed them, over generations, to adapt to the salt water. That's the best and simpliest reason, NOT EVOLUTION!
BCD, if you weren't a Poe, I'd be tempted to slap you with the clue by four.
(By the way, I see what you did there.)
And where does spring water come from? From rain water and snowmelt percolating through a permeable layer of rock or soil! Salt is a contaminant? Well to us it is, as seawater is poisonous to drink, but not to those that live in it. Put any marine life in a freshwater pond, and it will die, as it is sensitive to salinity levels.
It would appear that if one does not believe in evolution, and that there was only fresh water on the planet, then how does one account for salt-water species? I assure you that if you take the vast majority of salt-water creatures, immerse them in fresh water for 40 days, and examine them, you have yourself a mass extinction. With no evolution, those fresh water animals could have never changed to live in saltwater.
So where did the salt-water species come from?
I can't recall Genesis saying much about snow either, or tornadoes, or leafs falling from the trees in autumn. In fact there is no description of lots of things that the bible writers had no experience of. Now why would that be??
So what happened is that the LORD made these fish with a biological mechanism that allowed them, over generations, to adapt to the salt water.
And that's not evolution; it's mutation and natural selection allowing for adaptation to the environment. "Evolution" is something very different. Evolution is mutation and natural selection allowing for adaptation to the environment. See the difference?
Why does there need to have been a flood for the sea to be salty?
Oh, I get it. Another fundie attempting to shoehorn the facts into the biblical history of the world. Yawn. Try harder.
Seeing as there was no flood, no. Also, you explanation of where salt water oceans came from, Einstein, miserable fail.
Don't all life come from the Sea? Don't we all have saltwater in us? When your eyes dry out, you should not rince them with tap-water but with salt-solution.
If there is no rain, at all, there is also no dew. Dew is the moisture in the air, if has not rained, there is very little moisture in the air.
If the Flood became all saltwater, then where did the new freshwater come from? As there was no rain, I mean...
“The salty oceans are cause by rain and erosion dissolving salts from the soil which eventually contaminate the oceans.”
Yes, but not ONLY rain. The dew and spring-fed waters also erode the land and leech minerals into the water. So there’s just no telling how ‘fresh’ the water was.
And the same people that say starlight from a sun 5000 light years away was just made in transit have no leg to stand on saying that the oceans started as fresh water. The same creator could have made them any level of salt he desired.
Confused?
