(this whole thread is gold...they're stocking up on Spam and vienna sausages in case things get rough before the Rapture)
Hormel Compleats are great...I like the Chicken Breast & Gravy...lots of different choices...already cooked...would be best heated but if worse comes to worse, could be eaten as is. Doesn't have to be refrigerated...got at Walmart. Actually, I think we'll be raptured before it gets too hairy down here but if not...manna from the Lord, anyone???

Maaan, they are getting more paranoid by the second. I could see a whole bunch of them committing suicide pretty easily, as a lot of them are easily panicked sheep and will do what their pastor tells them.
MREs are the ticket. 3000 calories, 10-year shelf life, a variety of menus. I take them hiking and camping.
Seriously though, raptards. You are completely unprepared for the collapse of society.
Maybe supermarkets like Walmart should have special departments specialised in "Rapture and Tribulation demands"
with items like Spam, gas bottles, guns, medicine and everything you need in he end times.
Maybe only 5% of the american christian population are Raptards, but it sounds like they buy supplies for ten times their number :D

More like 0.05% but they are exceptionally loud (empty vessels make most noise)
As for stocking up for the Rapture, this displays a total lack of faith as thier deal with this imaginary sky-daddy is supposed to be all-inclusive.

I like that one too. Although sometimes, I really get a taste for the beefy stew. And I'm more of a Dinty Moore man, myself.
They're really filling if you mix them with powdered mashed potatos and hot dog chunks.
Fight the power, n***a.

BREAST OF CHICKEN?!?! BLASPHEMY!!!! BOMB THE CHICKEN FARMS AND STOP THE CORRUPTION OF OUR CHILDREN!!!! IT IS THE LORD'S WORK!!!!
...Sorry guys, I couldn't resist.

That's a big problem with your idiotic religion, right there - in truth, you have no fucking clue what's going to happen other than a blurry, vague outline hinted at by your delusional, rambling text and your own incoherent daydreams. Your god's utterly irrational, there's no way of predicting what he'll do (assuming, for the sake of argument, that he even exists) until he does it - will he feed you miraculously during the upcoming hell on earth, or won't he? Do you need to stockpile food, or not? That's a pretty fucking important bit of information compared to how many trumpets will herald the end of the world, yet your demented prophets inexplicably left out crucial details like that. The bible reads like a book of fairy tales written by goddamn stoners, not a rigorously practical text written by sensible, intelligent people.
Spam = Manna ?
Jesus Herbert Fucking Christ!
Try some shit-on-a-shingle and Red Lead, too (Navy chow)
4 years of standing in line to eat that shit will show that it's anything but manna.

Manna falls from the sky, it's not bought at Walmart you fool. Isn't there something in your Babble about god providing for you? Why then are you stocking up on shit?
Well...I'll give him credit in that he lacks the arrogance of the "The world's gonna be going to pot, and I'm gonna be on Jesus' lap, throwing rocks at you dirty sinners" that I tend to see...
That said, if Spam is manna...eeegh...
*headdesk*
You'd think that people who base their whole lives around preparation for the Apocalypse would learn how to hunt and trap wild animals, or at the very least grow their own crops. After all, civilization's gonna go kaput if your Beast turns out to be real...
@Doctor Fishcake - you do know there is a Meal Replacement Powder for humans on sale at club stores in huge buckets? I think it is Costo that carries it. It is for emergencies like hurricanes and floods, but I've seen RR talk about stocking up on it as well. I'll see if I can find the link again...
Got it:

Thanks, I just pictured the Israelites waking up to see miraculous jellied luncheon meats, stretching to the horizon and warming in the desert sun! Eeeuurgh!
Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Lovely Spam, Wonderful Spaaam!
To be fair to the other side, I spent some time as a Rapture nut (to my shame, I even own all of Left Behind and its Kids version and am too much of a bibliomaniac to get rid of them), and I seem to recall something in the ideology about the world reaching a truly awful point before the Rapture happening. I could be wrong; I got over it years ago, so my memory's a bit fuzzy.

You haven't lived until you've made a Beef/Chicken Curry from scratch. In many cases, better (and usually cheaper) than from the takeaway.
...ah, but then you won't have the time to do something as complex as cooking, when you're doing something far more important: waiting for the (trouser) trumpet from above, and being sucked off by your J-man. Or WWIII. Or the Zombie Apocalypse. Or when the sun goes Red Giant. Whichever will happen first.
Meanwhile, I'll be taking the time in preparing, cooking, then savouring a Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka Masala or Beef Vindaloo made by my own hands, here on Planet Reality.
Confused?
