The Church should be focused on saving souls not saving the planet. Global warming is insignificant when compared to eternal warming.

Yes, absolutely! Let's fuck up the world such that future generations will have a much degraded existence (if they can exist at all) and focus all our attention and money on propounding an ancient fairy tale as fact. [/sarcasm]
Shut up, shithead.
Agreed. Now keep your religion out of science and politics from this point onward.
Now that we have that settled, and the fundies will concentrate on saving souls so the rest of us can concentrate on saving the planet, things should be fine.
Oh, wait. You mean that NONE of us should worry about the planet? ALL of us should be out saving souls, even the politicians and the scientists? Sigh. For a minute I thought we had things worked out.
For the last time! Just because you believe something is not proof that it is true, nor does it place an obligation on others to share your belief!
Ummm, last time I checked that was what the church was stupidly doing.
Guess what: One is going to happen very soon, one is a pile of shit made up by raving lunatics.
(Oh you're from Rapture Ready, you still don't appreciate what I'm trying to say do you.)
Except there is considerably more evidence of global warming than there is of an afterlife. If you don't mind, I'll focus my energies on trying to save the planet for my kids and potential grand-kids.
You and the other Rupture Ready assholes just stay the fuck out of the way, OK. We don't want you to get hurt.
Can we tap that eternal warming to make electricity
without having to burn carbon?
We already do. It's called geothermal energy.
Yes, like Jesus said, they´re going to worry about an afterlife they neither see and they don´t know what is like, instead of focusing in things they know and are present.
"without having to burn carbon?"
I usually burn hydrogen, the carbon is just there for it and the oxygen to hang on to.
Since churches are incompetent to address it and that yours apparently even denies that it's happening, yes, it's best to not let your church interfere and to let qualified people work on climate change and its mitigation.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
