Evolution is impossible because fish can’t breathe air.

Betta fish can. At least, I own a betta and did some research on how to take care of him. Apparently, they can actually take oxygen directly from the air, which is why you're not supposed to put them in airtight containers.
Betta splendens.
You fail.
Well, for one, all fish breathe air, the air dissolved in the water they live in.
For two, there are fish that have special organs that allow them to extract oxygen directly from the air if they're living in very poorly oxygenated water.
For three, there are also lungfishes, which can spend time out of the water and have the most limb-like fins. It is from these that amphibians are believed to have evolved.
For four, evolution is about change over time, and that's it. It's observed and documented, we know several mechanisms by which it occurs. What you're referring to is not part of evolutionary theory proper, but a logical extension of it if one assumes natural causes for the universe and life (assumptions we feel are valid in science because there is not evidence for the existence of a creator, and science cannot test claims of the supernatural).
They just get dumber and lazier. What happened to the long drawn out posts that went into minute detail about why the bible is right and science is wrong? Fundies of the xtian variety are getting lazy. C'mon guys, you can do better than this, I believe in you and your madness.
@fundiesRtehlulz: Don't send them to YouTube. They'll just look at all the "creationism is right, evolution sucks" videos.
For that matter, if they used Google they'd probably just scroll down to the AiG page about whatever they looked up.
Queue the lungfish, the hypostomus plecostomus (a type of catfish that typically breathes water, but can breathe air when needed), and the mudskipper.
The Northern Snakehead, dumbfuck. It can not only breathe air for days at a time, it can walk across land and has been known to attack small animals and birds for food.
Once again, one of you fails at science. Homskool?
People can't swim! They can't breathe underwater! Oh, wait...we can HOLD OUR BREATH! And if we were face with the necessity to hunt underwater for extended periods of time, those who couldn't hold their breath long enough would die out. Gradually, we'd be more and more proficient underwater, possibly to the point of developing a method of breathing underwater. Are you understanding yet, or do you need flash cards?
Moron...
@a mind far far away
Madness?
THIS IS SPARTA
Not only do they exist, I used to raise them, genius.

You can buy them at any pet store.

And they have a whole slew of cousins who also breathe air. Like this one, which also has a penchant for hunting in small trees along the water. Like this guy.

Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
