RNA is also self-replicating. Add the fact that RNA strands can form spontaneously from organic substances that form naturally, and the fact that lipid bi-layers can also form spontaneously from simple organic substances that also form naturally, and you've got a very simple organism that can evolve into more complex life.

Proteins are just bloody chemicals, so it is more than feasible that they were able to form without Jesus's intervention. As for DNA, it is harder to say, given that DNA as we know it today has been sculpted by billions of years of evolution, and we do not know how complex, or simple the original DNA (or its equivalent, if there even was one) happened to be.

The Stanley Fox experiment: Short protein-like chains called Proteinoids formed from amino acids on exposure to ultraviolet light, which would have been abundant before the Ozone layer formed.
Chances that a specific one of these proteinoids would exhibit useful enzyme properties: almost nil. Chances that any one of the zillions of proteinoids formed would exhibit usefil enzyme properties: almost certain.

To find the facts concerning DNA and protein replication one needs to access credible science sources, not your pastor's bookshelf and what your mommy told you. That you state "All the evidence points to creation" shows that you have no idea how to discern a credible source of science information from a pile of barn muffins.
If fundies talk about molecular biologie, trying to argue that this field of science clearly disproves the theory of evolution, they only help non fundies to prove, that fundies don´t have the slightest knowledge about molecular biology

Can you give use some evidence on this creation you speak of?
1) Creutzfeld Jacob is a condition were your brain basically turn to a sponge. It is sometimes caused by prions, self-replicating proteins eating your brain's proteins to make copies of itself. Seems like the person become dumber and dumber with time.
2) DNA changes. Just look at penicillin resistent bacterias. They did not eixist some decades ago. Where do you think they come from ?
The only evidences in favor of creation are observations of reality that have been twisted so much their mother would not recognize them.
