Responding to story “DOJ Counters Greenville’s Shutdown of Drive-In Church Services, Vows to ‘Ensure Religious Freedom Remains Protected’”:

beeohdee:
This insanity needs to stop NOW. The virus will take it's toll. We are not GOD and cannot stop it. Over time it will then be succumb to herd immunity just the same as every other virus/flu has been overcome in any population since the fall of man. Prayer certainly will help. But to restrict peaceful gatherings, whether they be religious or not, is insanity. Our economic foundation is crumbling and OUR HEALTH WELL-BEING IS DEPENDENT ON A STRONG ECONOMIC FOUNDATION, as is every other facet of life! The purpose of these draconian regulations is NOT to restrict the spread of this virus, but to destroy our economy in a final effort to attain the ends that these people have been attempting to accomplish for at least the last 12 years... "to transform America." These enforcement efforts are an attempt to further that agenda. We need to oppose these unlawful regulations, peacefully; force mass arrests of peaceful citizens. We are fulfilling the truth stated in Romans 1:28, "and he gave them over to a reprobate mind to those things that are not proper."

Travis Kingston:
You can’t stop the virus but you can take measures to control how much destruction and death it causes. And it seems to me you oppose that.

beeohdee:
Where is it written that we can control destruction and death? You are absolutely correct, I am in total opposition to this madness that has enveloped our entire culture and the world.
As I said above, the virus WILL take its toll. What we control is whether we cause more destruction or less while it does what it is going to do, regardless of our believing that we can sit on God's throne and determine the course of events.
This is nothing more than a political opportunity for the 'transformers' of our culture to mold our politics after their own image. Romans 1:28 still applies, and we deserve it. But God is merciful to them that turn to him in time of need.
