[Trey, after discovering his wacky ideas have been getting some mileage around the internet]

I honestly don't mind disagreement--either among Christians who think that my view is unbiblical, or among
non-Christians who simply think i'm an extremist--, but what i do mind is being characterized by any of them as some kind of Nazi or Fascist or something to that effect. I like people, people of all stripes; however, i love God's Law more than anything else. I just believe that, if possible, Christians should bring about a nation that reflects and enforces God's Law. That's all it comes down to.

[Explaining why he can believe things in the bible like talking snakes]

yes, but you make it sound that rationality is the ultimate reality. Rational reasoning or logical reasoning can never apprehend ultimate truth, for they can never explain why they themselves exist. Atheists end up saying "well, things just are." So pure rationality doesn't seem rational to me

There's two types of unbelievers. people avoid Jesus for two different reasons. People avoid Jesus as savior because they think they don't need a savior. They think they are good people. A lot of atheists would say "i'm a good person". And the person who says "i'm a good person and I don't need Jesus", ah, your avoiding Jesus as savior. Simple as that. And then there's the other person that avoids Jesus. He avoids Jesus because he just likes to sin. He likes to chase women he likes to get high. He likes to smoke the bong. I know these things man. I know these things first hand.

For my part, i actually think that Christian heretics deserve the death penalty, but given our social and legal context, that is impossible. It is not "murder" to put someone to death for killing someone's physical body (after a fair trial where a person is given the chance to defend himself, of course), nor is it murder to put someone to death for killing someone's soul by indoctrinating them into real heresy (also after a fair trial with the ability to defend oneself--something that the Genevan city council gave to Servetos, but something the Roman Church did *NOT* give him when they condemned him).
