One thing, Robbie, is that I initially have this feeling. Another completely different topic is whether it's fair and justified and it's not. I can reprobate what they do, but not feel hate towards them. There is a big different, because the first case is objectively treated, the second is putting myself at the same level as your supposed boogeymen, demonstrating that you're a crackpot.
It's a good thing you'e a christian, because you don't go on an orgy of killing, raping, looting and drugtaking like atheists and evolutionists do.
It looks like Robert T. Lee is a Christian Reconstructionist. Christian Reconstructionism is a movement founded by whackjob theologian RJ Rushdoony that advocates replacing secular law with Biblical law. He's even advocated putting to death disobedient children. Seriously.

Wishing someone dead in a heated moment and following through with it are two very different things. As a rational, thinking Human being I don't actually want anyone to be killed, but those images do come into my head and so I deal with them. I do not let them consume me to the point where I run around saying criminals (of which homosexuals are not, asshole) should be killed by the government. If someone murdered or raped someone who I loved I would indeed want them dead and I would feel that way for a very long time. However, not having my thoughts blinded my anger right now I know that I do not want the government to murder on my behalf should I ever be in that state of pure grief and pure hatred. They should know better and be above playing the revenge game for me or anyone.
Then there's a whole seperate issue of actual guilt. Unless one is found guilty without any shadow of doubt (not without any reasonable doubt) there's always a chance you are killing the wrong person and even if you don't classify killing someone in revenge as murder, I don't know how you can't classify killing an innocent person by "mistake" as murder.
Didn't Jesus say that was as bad as murder?

For as long as I've counted myself as a mature, adult human being, I've very rarely felt real anger about anything. Don't really know why, perhaps some kind of minor personal enlightenment or something, but it just doesn't seem to happen to me. I experience revulsion or abbhorence, sure, I can be shocked or surprised by something truly idiotic, but anger? Real hatred? Not really. It's childish, destructive and ineffective - I guess I've just realised that in such a fundamental way that it permeates my general thought process.

Pedophiles, (serial) killers, and rapists are human predators. If released from prison, most eventually resume their activities. I don't support the death penalty; however, I can't mourn their passing, either.
Homosexuals and atheists are NOT human predators. And the "etc." you added suggests that there's a whole lot of other people you'd just as soon see dead, and for no better reason than because they offend your belief system merely by existing.
Or to put it another way--because my family includes gays, atheists, and very likely a bunch of your "etc.'s," you pose the biggest threat.

Pedophiles, murders and rapists are already punished. But if you make the punishment for rape and pedophilia death, the criminal might as well kill the victim. People with more brains that Bob have thought of that little problem. That's why morons like Bob are not in charge of things.

No, but I do feel the urge to beat people half to death with a clue-by-four when they use words improperly, for example people who don't know the difference between "murder" and "murderer", or between a pedophile (someone attracted to children, who may or may not act upon this attraction) and a child rapist/child molester/child abuser (someone, not necessarily a pedophile in the psychiatric sense, who sexually abuses children). @Tempus: actually my understanding is that statistically sex crimes have rather low rate of recidivism, both in absolute value (around 10-11% if I remember correctly) and compared to other types of crimes. Serial killers are another matter entirely, of course.

No, I don't think I've been that angry since I became an adult. But, even if I had been, wishing that someone were dead, and sentencing someone to death are two very different things. Nobody's life is destroyed because I wish someone dead, but murdering someone will destroy many people's lives.
In what way are atheists and homosexuals true criminals? Not believing in gods does not harm anyone, nor does being attracted to people of the same gender.
Once again; me wishing something doesn't make it happen, and no, I'm very much against killing other people, regardless of whether the murderer is a civilian, a soldier or an executioner.
