The sick freak didn't belong in school. He belonged in a mental institution. So do his "parents". As far as the degenerates wanting to crucify a 14 year old child for this; I would expect nothing less from them.

The 14 year old should be tried as an adult and go to prison for life unless he is found to be mentally incompetant. 'Sick freak' or not, it's still murder.
And if you knew shit about psychology or neuroscience, you'd know gender dysphoria isn't a 'pathology'.

I abhor murder, and the 14 year old probably knew what he was doing. But I have to agree, two wrongs do not make a right. But if we were to let the 14 year old get off with only a few year sentence (or off completely) because of being a child, what does that tell everyone else; specifically, what does it tell other 14 year olds? That this behavior is acceptable? That you wouldn't be held fully responsible? Granted, it's not only the 14 year old's fault, but he is the one who cared out the deed.

The backbone of any civilsed society is that it's members are able to co-exist in relative harmony while pursuing their own ends. Any member of a society whose actions hamper or harm the progress of those around them is discouraged. For many instances we have formal laws to prevent such friction and allow the community to function to it's fullest extent. The shooter is a prime example and will be punished for impeding his victims attempts to live his life in the most destructive way.

If the kid that got shot had been the shooter, I would want him to be punished. However, he didn't shoot anybody. All he did was wear a dress. The other kid shot him, and shooting someone is worse than wearing a dress.

If the 14-year old is to be kept in prison past his 21st birthday, he has to be tried as an adult.
If tried as a juvenile, after conviction he will be sent to the California Youth Authority (CYA). I think in some circumstances CYA can keep a prisoner until they are in their early twenties (24 or so) but past that, it's back on the street...and the criminal record can be sealed because the perp was a juvenile at the time of the crime.
If tried as an adult, he will go to CYA until he is legally considered an adult and from there, transferred to an adult prison. And if he ever gets paroled, his record will not be sealed.
So, trying this person as a juvenile will put him out on the streets again in no more than ten years.
Considering that the dead boy will always be dead, I vote for the perp to serve at least as long a sentence as the victim was given by him: life without parole. And that means trying him as an adult.
its people like him (and easy access to guns, knives and others that cause dangerous body harm) that make schools a dangerous place for anyone... a school should be able to be safe environment for young people to learn and grow whatever their personal beliefs are ... every time i watch the news there is at least 1 school shooting... it really saddens me to no tomorrow to think of the families that lost their child in a place that should have been a safe and secure environment... and then i get more fired up than hell will ever be when i read things like this...
there is nothing that shows the amount of anger i feel towards to guys like him. i don't know how your court system works but i dont care what happens to the 14 yr old kid (just long as he dont get the death penalty...he need to live to suffer... yeah im against the death penalty)
I just hope that the family that has lost their child is coping and getting support that they need. i can safely say that we all pass our condolences and our compassion to the family, students and anyone who was a victim to this senseless murder.

It's not your fault your parents and culture indoctrinated you into being an intolerant, violent fuckwad, but I don't want you out on the street. Ever. So please ask to be tried as an adult, plead guilty, and thus at least claim some responsibility for your crime, making yourself less of a fuckwad. Then enjoy a nice, long stay in prison. Maybe write books to educate people about the dangers of being a fuckwad. Generally, spend the rest of your fucking life trying to redeem yourself. You'll probably fail, but at least try.
