I'm unclear on the logic of putting people in jail because they're later going to hell? Isn't hell enough? Or is that you just don't like them, they scare you, so you want to try and punish them now because you know somewhere, deep down inside, that hell is fiction?

Fortunately, what God does or doesn't like doesn't have too much bearing on the justice system, so nobody is going to lock up gays just because he hates them.

This crap is EXACTLY why i left Christianity. I'm soooooo glad that my particular path of Paganism isn't homophobic. And if Jabman is quoting that 'god hates gays' from the same book from the Bible that says 'no eating shellfish', or 'no wear of mixed fabrics (cotton/polyester blends)', then I won't be the only one in jail for a bullsh*t reason. In fact, Jabman might be getting anally raped in his cell on the men's block. How's that for 'Divine retribution.'
