[On a Knoxville, TN school shooting]
We should not be surprised! The Lord was removed from our schools years ago and when God's not allowed then Satan takes his place. Our children are being raised in a society where there are few consequences for wrong doing. I grew up in an age where if you did wrong, you got punished, at school and at home. We are reaping what we have sown. My heart goes out to the students' families. Lives there will never be the same.

So, the kid just walked out after the shooting? No punishment? Lordy, Lordy, if only there was some way to "arrest" these sinners and mayhaps "police" them. I guess with God gone (in the form of cardboard cutouts of the Ten Commandments and Bible verses, His true form)it truly is Satan's playground. Oh, how they children shoot and run, shoot and run. Whatever shall we do?!?!
They say the same damn thing after every school shooting.
Correlation does not imply causation.
Lack of sponsored prayer should not mean that Jesus disapparates into thin air.
Overly strict parenting is just as much of an influence as lax parenting.
Schools still punish children, and so do parents (for the most part). There are such things as punishments that don't involve belts or paddles.
And why the hell do you care about any of this if the kids who have been slaughtered are just going to float off into paradise according to your myth of choice, anyway!?
Gaaaaahh!
Longing for the good old days when you could imprison, beat, starve, torture, hang, or burn those people that didn't worship the way you wanted them to? That was so much better!
For the 60-millionth time, prayer in school is not illegal, so STFU. Too bad you can't say the same about learning in church.

God was never fully removed from the schools. You can still pray and bring your bible to school. You can't force others to pray and you can't read your bible during class.

Last time I checked if you commited a crime, you went to prision.

So did I. Thats why I never got in trouble at school. And that wasn't that long ago.
"Say, Jeb, weren't them Christian kids in that there shootin'? Kids what had good Christian upbringin's?"
"Yep, Sam, they sure was."
Why, why, why do these people never see how fucking stupid it is to say that their all-knowing, all-powerful God, who is supposedly everywhere, can get chased out of a school by administrators who can't stop their students from cheating on tests, taking drugs, or--to use a relevant example--picking on another student because he's unfortunate enough to have alopecia?
"[ ... ] when God's not allowed then Satan takes his place."
And an omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent God can do nothing to rein in Satan?
Guess Satan must've gotten himself an iron chariot.
Yes but the dead teenager helps us all learn. Praise be to god....
I thought god was omnipotent anyway but he allowed the ACLU to kick him out of school? I hope he isn't getting in trouble out on the streets.

The Lord wasn't removed from schools. Baptist fundamentalists (who are the majority of the people pushing for school prayer, posting the Ten Commandments - the Protestant version, of course, etc) just can't use school employees to indoctrinate other peoples' kids. BTW, school employees aren't allowed to promote Satan, either.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
