As for the movie, Ghost, that movie I consider to be one of the most dangerous movies made. Its theology is based on the cult of Scientology. This is not speculation. Patrick Swayze confirmed this on the Johnny Carson show one night. Swayze was raised Catholic, but experimented with many religions. At the time of "Ghost" he was into Scientology.

The two notable points I remember about this film, is that those who were grabbed by demons and brought to hell were really bad guys. This relates to the false notion that if one is basically a good person they will go to heaven.

The most dangerous aspect of the film is in the last scenes. We see the light of heaven open up for Swayze to walk through. Before he does, he walks up to Whoopi Goldberg and tells her that her mother would be proud. Whoopi was suppose to be a "Christian psychic" (which is an oxymoron).

In terms of cinemtographic symbolism, we have Swayze on the "other side", so that means he knows things we do not. Then we see the light of heaven opened up to him and the light of God shining on him showing that he is approved of God. This man knows what we do not, he is almost representing God Himself.

Within this context we have Swayze approving and encouraging a so-called Christian psychic, diviner, and conjurer of the dead -- things that are an abomination to God.

The movie is made even more dangerous, especially to women, because it is "so romantic". I explained this to a group of women soon after the movie was released. They nearly tarred and feathered me even though I told them the Swayze himself said the theology in the movie was based on Scientology.

There is an old movie with Doris Day and Rock Hudson in which Doris conspires with her girlfriend to prove that a man will be so mesmerized by a woman's charms that she can feed him cardboard and he will eat it.

Well, you can feed a woman fresh cow pies as long as it is wrapped in romance, as we all see in the movies about shameful adultery like "Bridges of Madison County" (which, by the way, is about 2 hours away from where I live).

The movie Ghost is shear evil in that it depicts false theology and asserts that God approves of that the Bible says is an abomination to Him.
