While the media elites were slobbering all over themselves because Pope Francis commented on climate change, the Pope was having a quiet and powerful meeting with a humble Apostolic county clerk from Kentucky.
The Pope recognized something that the chattering class in Washington and Wall Street will never understand—that Kim Davis followed her conscience and convictions. The Pope thanked Kim for doing so and congratulated her for her stand.
The media mocked and derided millions of Americans who supported Kim's constitutional right to religious liberty. It may just be a visit from the Pope that pushes the out of touch political class in Washington to finally stand up to judicial tyranny and for religious liberty.

Proof of this. This was a private meeting, is this was Davis reported was said? Maybe he told her shew was an idiot and to render unto Cesar.

For shame Fuckabee. Lying for Jebus is still lying. She wasn't mocked for her religious liberty - she was derided because she tried to force her religion on others and also force her to staff to follow her religious beliefs. No once she couldn't be a xtian or worship as a xtian. Where the fuck did you did get that idea, your anus?
"to finally stand up to judicial tyranny"
Right, because according to you it's "judicial tyranny" when the SCOTUS grants people equal rights?
Hey, Fuckabee...
Would you pay a taxi driver if the taxi driver did not do their job and drive you where they want? Even if it was against their religious beliefs to drive there?Would you pay an airline pilot if the airline pilot did not do their job and fly you where you want? Even if it was against their religious beliefs to fly there? I'll bet you'd whine and bitch and moan if you were forced to pay them even though they didn't do their job. You wouldn't put up with it, right? I'll bet you'd even call for them to be fired, wouldn't you?
So why the fuck should we pay a county clerk that is not doing their job and issuing marriage licenses? We are being forced to pay someone that is not doing their job. So why the fuck should we put up with it, Fuckabee? It's against our sincerely held religious beliefs to continue to pay someone that is not doing their job. Why are you mocking and deriding our religious beliefs?

He did fucking not. According to the Vatican, he didn't even know who the hell she was when he briefly met her along with a few other people. And by "briefly met" it was little more than a handshake. Now right wing Christians like Huckabee are claiming that the Pope had a private meeting with her and gave his blessing to her bigotry. Just like that photo of the hundred thousand people in Peru supposedly praying for her, turned out to be from an event which happened last year. You can't trust anything Kim Davis or Liberty Counsel says.

“I almost wish that there would be, like, a simultaneous telecast, and all Americans would be forcedforced at gunpoint no lessto listen to every David Barton message, and I think our country would be better for it. I wish it’d happen.”

...or maybe the in touch with reality political class in Washington - and beyond - have finally stood up for judicial freedom , and against religious tyranny , amirite Mike Fuckabee?
...and Pope Francis saying anything to Kim Il-Davis? Not only Lying for Jebus, she's now a heretic for associating with the enemy .
I'm sure you'd agree, eh Catholic ... er, I mean Protestant Jerry who uses the Protestant KJV, but doesn't disagree with Catholic doctrine ...?
You missed a few very important points, ass...
1) Her lying lawyer told the media it was a private meeting. It wasn't. Unless 'private meeting' has been redefined to mean 'having a crowd standing at a rope while the Pope moves down the line'.
2) They spoke for seconds, not the fifteen minutes her previously mentioned lying lawyer claims.
3) He didn't 'thank her for her courage' as the previously mentioned lying lawyer claims, and in fact didn't even know who the fuck she was.
4) A rep at the Vatican arranged the meeting. Pope Francis himself didn't know who was going to be there and didn't personally seek out Kim Jong Davis.
Not a god damned word her lawyer has said about this 'meeting' has been truthful, and he's caused issues for the Pope because now people think he's flip-flopping on his 'Who am I to judge?' message.
Fuck Huckabee, that lawyer and the bitch he represents. Cunts, the lot of them.
And now the real facts have come out and he didn't meet with her specially, she was just part of a group meeting with him.
Oh, and there is no such thing as "judicial tyranny".
@Cyclonus
"'Liberal for a pope' is not the same thing as 'liberal'."
Very much this.
Further, this pope has said a lot of things that sound good. Ever notice that every time he says something that makes the left happy, it's followed by a lot of "explanation" and backpedaling by the rest of the Vatican? No matter what the pope may have said , what has actually changed ?
@Doubting Thomas pointed out the event of "Peru supposedly praying for her, turned out to be from an event which happened last year", that bullshit also came from her law teams group.
Lying for Theocracy must be stamped on their letterheads. The called that an "honest mistake" within a week they'll have to "honest mistake" the Pope visitation also unless they're ready for a head on attack with the Vatican, which they may be. Remember 'everyone is against true believers' according to professional victim fundamentalism.
@Cyclonus
I think Pope Francis is a pretty cool guy.
Eh pisses off fundies, and doesn't afraid of anything. [/Meme ] X3
Fuckabee is on a roll. First it's bitching about Rainbow Doritos on Fox News, and sending a letter to Frito Lay. Now it's this?
Please Fuckabee, spare us your brand of fundie wisdom and get back to the brothel and whores we know you frequent but preach against anyway.
Mr. Huckabee: A few years ago a number of Muslim taxi drivers (we have the largest population of Somali refugees in the country) were refusing to transport obviously intoxicated passengers, those carrying alcohol, or those with guide dogs, at airport pickups. Religious beliefs were cited. Fundie Christians arose in protest, insisting that the drivers were not entitled to refuse passengers based on their religion. The taxi licensing officials agreed, and those drivers unwilling to accommodate all passengers found new jobs.
Please explain how that situation was any different than that of Kim Davis.
@ Churchy LaFemme
The difference in Fuckabee's eyes is that the Muslims were of course inferior because they were not "True Christians (tm)"
As the inferior religion, they had no right to protest. Kim Davis was a True Christian and doing the will of The One God in Fuckabee's opinion. So obviously there is the difference. True Christianity as the superior faith is obvious going to be exempt all the other rules.
On that note...
Other religions, sexualities, and anyone not a True Christian to Fuckabee is of course not entitled to the same liberties and rights that the constitution supposedly promises everyone. Silly us for thinking that we had the same rights as everyone else.
@ Cyclonus:
At this point, I would personally blow Francis if it meant the US actually doing something about climate change.
No, he's not perfect and he still holds some views which are reprehensible. But he's talking about social and economic justice and he's talking about climate change. I can be thankful that the man is talking sense on these issues without agreeing with him on everything he says.
Confused?
