Hi!
I just had to add to this discussion.
My daughter, Kate, is a gifted young woman. She's now almost 34, and now seems almost totally corrupted by the world. Why? Because I foolishly didn't try to dissuade her from majoring in journalism!

Kate was a vibrant born-again believer all of the while she was growing up (since age 4)---miracles happened to this youngster. (Examples---We prayed for her hand, burned by one of those large sparklers..and no burn at all the next AM; we prayed for a little hamster, accidentally thrown--in a fall--across a room, and paralyzed in its back legs---he was moving just fine after the prayer, etc, etc) She loved her Lord with all of her heart! Kate was baptized-at her own request-- by age 8 (by immersion); spent a week at JPUSA in Chicago, when 14; almost went to Germany on a short-term trip and did go to Mexico City on one.....

She chose a noted Christian college, Asbury in KY...while there, she joined a Christian club, even picketing an abortion center with the group. But she majored in journalism.... Now, after 2 Master's degrees and a doctorate in women's studies and ethnic diversity , she no longer believes. She is living in a lesbian relationship, is a flaming liberal and feminist, and militantly pro-abortion. She is closed to all we try to say, and conversations with her are pretty-much limited to the weather, our pets, and her teaching experiences..... (SIGH!)

Journalism, it turns out, is just about the most liberal profession she could have entered, and all of her advanced education has enriched her brain, but has left her soul/spirit in abject poverty!

I know that our Lord can still turn her around---that the little girl who loved Jesus so much (and it was genuine) is loved even more by our Lord. We haven't given up in praying for her, and we know the "hound of heaven"--the Holy Spirit--is even now acting mightily on her behalf.

Sorry...I just needed to vent a little!

'Could us a [hug], or two, I think!

God bless! Jan in AZ
