The trouble with steering away from the abstinance only program, is that its replacement program is filled with flawed and wreckless information.
Flawed is a relative term. Personally, I find Ab Only to be flawed becauseit knowingly withholds information that will keep the kids safe for the sake of "purity." Reckless though, is flat out false.
The replacement programs actually promotes sexual activity, falsly claiming how healthy it is, and how condoms are totally safe.
First strawman, they don't teach it as "healthy" they just state that done safely, that it's not unhealthy, and not something "dirty," or "shameful." It's NATURAL. Second one, I've NEVER heard any professional teach that condoms are 100% effective. There's always a margin for error, but condoms, used correctly, are approximately 99.9% effective.
But dont worry, they teach your child how to use a condom, and make them available as well.
Heavens forbid we acknowledge that teenagers are gonna FUCK! How dare we not just look away, and then kick their sinful asses from school when someone turns up pregnant.
The program also outlines "alternate" sexual activities in detail, including homosexuality.
If by that, you mean stating that it happens, and isn't something evil or shameful...seriously, I had a boring Sex Ed. class...we didn't get any of that kind of thing.
Despite many so-called statistical studies showing that abstinance programs dont work, the truth is they do.
How do you reconcile that with the highest teen pregnancy rates in states where Ab Only is taught?
But just like every other form of education, it needs to be backed by parents involvement.
Except the parents are just as willing to keep the kids as ignorant as you are.
We have to be brave enough to have the tough conversations with our children regarding sex, and NOT leave it up to the politicians, condom makers, and profiting from abortion groups such as Planned Parenthood.
Huh?!
Let parents decide what else to teach their children, and let abstinance be the policy for our public schools.
Or let's let people who know what they're talking about teach the kids.
