Atheism is belief...its theological narcissism: I am God.

No, they just don't beleive your god exist. Kinda like how you don't believe that Zeus exists.

Evolution didn't create religion, dumbass. A bunch of men in pre-historic times did.

1) Atheism is the non belief in any god. Atheists do not believe they are god.

2) Atheists do not believe in a god or gods because of a lack of evidence. Of course I am not god.

3) Religion, much like team sports, aids cohesion and group survival. Religions split and form new groups because rational thought combined with ambiguous doctrine or belief keeps getting in the way. Rational thought aids survival by allowing a person to find better shelter, better food, better mates etc. Now that humans have the scientific method, large communities, sports, etc. religion is not necessary for survival.

4) Science is not truth. Science is a means of reliably figuring out the world around us.

5) I have no belief or faith in god. Not an absurd claim. This is truth.

6) ID or Creationism is not valid. This is also truth.

7) Nothing matters only if one chooses not to have anything matter. My life, my family, my career, and all the wonderful FSTDT posters, matter to me.

Not quite. I don't think I'm god. I think I could do a hell of a lot better job than the one you've got now, should he exist, but I don't think I am god.

That's either the most profound thing any human has ever conceived of or entirely nonsensical. I'm leaning toward the latter as I doubt it's so profound that only you understand what the fuck you're talking about.

Evolution didn't "create" anything in the sense you're implying.

Atheists lack belief in one or more god concepts. They do not necessarily have "no belief" and "no faith" in anything.

Maybe it's me but you make no fucking sense. I think I'd rather struggle through LoneWolf's posts. At least those have some humor value whereas this shit is just nonsensical.

The natural world is governed by the laws of science, and religion and atheism are not. There is no meaning at all to this sentence. What in blue blazes do you mean by "Christianity is valid as an evolutionary mechanism"? Do you have to pray very hard so your child is born as a human being, or is it likely to come out as an armadillo if you're careless?

Atheism = a-theism = lack of a belief in god. That's all it means. You tell us bible stories, we tell you that's not true.
