Quote# 81890

Have no fear D Laurier.

You will change.

You will change.

Everyone starts out as a liberal but at some point in their life, hopefully as early as possible, the Father's continual behind the scenes guidance and training eventually wears them down and they all convert into a conservative.

If you think of your grandparents and all the other people in that age range they are without exception very conservative, the only real question is at what age you to will put aside your youthful indiscretions, sober up and also receive maturity.

Since the "no elderly liberals" mandate is strictly enforced by the Father can you guess the fate of a liberal who refuses to eventually succumb to the Father's cleansing?

An untimely early death, yes you are right, good guess.

Man. You think old ladies are conservative? You've obviously never been to my hairdressers. Women over 65, when put it a group, immediately revert to being 15. Penises are hilarious again. All the ladies at my salon are life-long labor voters, too.

Shit, that prick has reached CARM?

Will there be some sort of critical mass when he bumps into Supersport?

Darn

Gee, those old hippies looking like Willie Nelson I tend to see don't really exist then ? What about Pete Seeger, he's not existent either ?

A social conscience is like homesexuality. Its a phase good christians grow out of during their 20s.

Lies of course, but I love how child abuse makes kids into conservatives is supposed to be a good thing.

Actually, this is sort-of true. The process occurs when you become too exhausted, after beating your head against relentless conservative stonewalling, to continue believing that you can actually do anything to improve the world, and you ditch your good-intentions and humanitarian ideals and just settle for hanging on to what you've got and not letting your own life get any worse.

In doing so, you become another buttress of the wall.

Some conservatives are people who just never gave a damn about anyone worse off than them to begin with; but a lot of the rest are former liberals who've either lost hope that they could ever do anything to help, or had to focus so much on their own survival that they no longer have the time or resources to really think of anyone else.

Proof by assertion backed up by appeal to Teh Hellfires. Yep, just another feeble-minded fool who's come to rationalize that his collapse into pathetic, regressive reactionism is a good thing.

In other words, nothing to see here.

But we Liberals know that those who fall early died a death most noble and glorious, defending the sane values to their last breath. Their sacrifices are not in vain! They only highlight the fact that the Conservatives have no bedrock to stand on - when their rhetoric fails, they resort to divine violence! And if the Elderly Conservatives can't see that the youth are the future and killing them pointlessly is a bit daft, they deserve their fate!

...sounds like a fiction, right? You don't think these arguments through, do you?

D Laurier, this guy is as crazy as Gerald Polley; why did you think you could reason with him?

And to answer his question, I can think of quite a few people who remained liberal into their old age. They're rare, but that's because what is liberal for one generation tends to be moderate or even conservative for following generations. This is the principle of social change.

But wait, if Mark Dreher says that God will kill those liberals who refuse to become more conservative over time, and he also believes that he is God, then... doesn't that mean he wants to kill D Laurier?!

Well I suppose nobody's suffering from the illusion that Mark Dreher isn't delusional. Presumably, he must be a conservative.

Uuuuhhh. My grandparents are at least both somewhat liberal. They're democrats. They both voted for Obama and they're both over 80. How'd that happen??

My healthiest grandparents are extremely liberal and reaching 75. I predict they have at least another decade ahead of themselves, if not another 25 years.

Maybe older folks are more conservative out of cynicism.

Usually due to the iodiotic antics of society, which usually propgate from people like you.

That would explain why we're all cynical on here!

My father is more liberal than I am. His father was very conservative.

Also you make it sound like the son/daughter should follow the father lest the father kill the child. Not a good argument for your side
