mad the swine
Another untreated, mentally ill person with an Internet connection. Not funny, just sad.

I'm not sure medication is going to fix this person.

Yeah, this is just sad. Gail clearly needs serious psychiatric help.
Also, I just visited her site. She's apparently leading her own cult. D8
There are members actually registered with names like "Vladimir" (as in Putin), "Brent Spiner," and "Kim Jong Il." Gail posts as if they're the real deal. Not sure if these people are also mentally ill, or if they're just trolls playing along with her delusions.

Some idiot called Veronica Leuken said the same about the then Pope, Paul the sixth. Among other things, because, asuming that you're, in the best case, 18, and your mother gave you birth at the same age(which I doubt), cloning, let alone human cloning that is not yet developed, was not even thinkable 36 years ago.

This is sad indeed, and if there are trolls playing with her delusions, shame on them. I thought the days of poking people through the bars at Bedlam were over.

Holy crap. Mocking this sad person would be akin to pushing a quadraplegic down the stairs.

Cloning does not work that way, so why should I believe anything else that you say?

Tragic. Just tragic. I can't imagine the horror of losing yourself like this. Your being is the only thing you have- it's you. Your body is nothing in comparison to the sanctity of Self.
That this person is mentally dying right before the world's eyes, and not being helped, is the ultimate indictment of everyone around her and, indeed, of society itself.

Can we stop putting up quotes from people who have a mental illness? It isn't ethical and it isn't funny.

The people talking to her on her site with names like "Vladimir Putin" and "Kim Jong-Il" are in fact trolls. There is an organized, concentrated effort to troll Gail not unlike the community that has developed around Christian Weston Chandler.
I am glad that other people out there want to help Gail, but I'm afraid you can't. There is nothing you, I, or anybody else can do about this, because Gail does not listen to anyone about these matters. It is really sad indeed.

Can we not post comments from people who are clearly ill? Immoral and not funny.

Now those are people we should be putting up for public ridicule. Arseholes.

This person is legitimately mentally ill, so this quote has no place here, even if it is technically a conspiracy theory.

Shouldn't be here; I agree. This isn't some wacko conspiracy theorist, just someone actually ill.

I have no problem with this being here if only due to the fact that the line between mental illness and conspiracy wacko is really, really wuzzy and the Venn diagram between the two has massive overlap.
I think there's a lot of people that show up on this site with some sort of undiagnosed mental problems. The purpose of this site is not primarily to ridicule but to archive, to let people know that the people who show up here DO exist. They also vote and influence others in spite of any mental problems.

I would like to point out that it isn't necessarily immediately obvious which people on this site are legitimately mentally ill and which aren't, to the extent that the distinction is even worthwhile when you're looking at the "disney mind control" guy one post down. I had heard of the Capgras Delusion before but didn't make the connection 'till I read it in the comments.
So slow down before you rag on whoever posted this.

Yeah, this reads exactly like 90% of the other submissions on CTSTDT. How is anyone supposed to know who is genuinely ill? Should we delete every other submission on the off chance that they break some unspoken rule?

I think there is a line, and it has been crossed. There is an important difference between this and the other CSTDT quotes: this person thinks that the conspiracy extends to HER. The people around her. Her mother.
There is a massive difference between someone that's horribly stupid or misguided- someone who thinks that UFOs landed on Earth, who thinks Jews or the Rockefellers secretly run the world, or even thinks that Obama is the Antichrist- and someone who thinks her own MOTHER has been replaced by a clone, and the Roman Catholic Church is PERSONALLY trying to assassinate her. The latter involves attributing events to the wrong reasons, and looking for patterns that don't exist and applying them to scalegoats and groups that they have no personal interaction with. It may be a massive cock-up, but at least it's attributable to normal human mistakes and foibles. The former, however, clearly demonstrates a complete disconnect between the fantasy world she invented and her reality. Even the most hardcore (normal)conspiracy theorist subconsciously separates their fanfiction version of reality from their day-to-day lives. She is clearly incapable of doing so, and is therefore insane.
I'm not saying there's no overlap, because there is. But to say that there is overlap without mentioning the massive chasm between the two muddies the issue.

The issue we face is at what point is something too crazy to be included. Let this site act as an archive, proof of its existence. We do not need to ridicule this person nor are we barred from intervening to encourage this person to seek help.
Insanity and irrationality exist in all people, it is to what extent and how it is manifested that should be considered. Her delusions if not intervened can lead to dangerous situations if left unchecked.

These are more examples of CSTD entries where the poster believed that the conspirators involved had targeted them personally. Should they get a pass for mental reasons too?

This is just a small cross section that believe that conspiratorial groups have a personal effect on their lives. We can also throw in the massive number of FSTDT entries that have been personally abducted by aliens or personally harassed by The Devil. Do we need to get rid of those too?

It seems to me, it should not only be provided as to proof of existence, but the effect real CST have on others.
If you go to her website(s), you find she has interwoven much of Jack Chick's work into her delusions.
