/so I have this best friend of mine, 16yrs old, She actually really is a pretty good christian, She just believes gay marriage is okay and she supports gays./
Wow, your friend sounds like me!
/I keep trying to tell her that the bible says its wrong and etc.../
Leviticus says that it's wrong. But, since we're Christians, we're supposed to follow Jesus' teachings, and Jesus never said a word about homosexuality.
/She has a few family members that are gay too/
Well, that explains a lot, then. Good for her that she has embraced them instead of using her faith to reject them.
/and I said its okay to support the person not what they are. She clearly can't get this through her head./
That's funny, since you clearly can't get the simple fact of homosexuality being perfectly harmless through your head. We're not talking about drug addicts here. Homosexuality does not hurt anybody, so there is no need for this whole "hate the sin, love the sinner" nonsense.
/Theres also a kid at her school who is a mega-liberal and I believe has an influence on her since he is her friend too./
Which scores her another point, in that she has not succumbed to your influence yet. Darn it, I want to be this girl's friend!
/How can I get this through her head that what she believes is right is actually wrong./
Why is it wrong? You haven't yet explained WHY homosexuality is wrong other than the pitiful explanation, "God said it." Well, according to the Bible, God also prohibited polyester, shellfish, and working on the Sabbath day. How many Christians obey those restrictions?
/Funny thing is I bet she knows its right cuz i posted a bulletin with bible verses and all she did was criticize me with nothing constructive and said she was very well educated hahaha/
Note to Kryn: when someone criticizes you, it means that they don't like what you're saying. It doesn't mean that they secretly think that you're right, otherwise they wouldn't criticize you. You are so dense, it's ridiculous.
