[in response to the question "what would you consider religious discrimination"]
The fact that I can get fired for calling gay people derogatory names is religious discrimination in my eyes. I should be able to practice my Christianity in peace and without fear. It's a sad state when we favour sexuality over God.

Hey, my religion requires me to follow you around for a period of one hour a day and mock you, but my company will fire me if I do it!
Help, I'm being persecuted!
Yes, you can be fired for calling gay people derogatory names, based on discrimination and harassment of the gay people. That is in no way, shape, or form a part of practicing religion.

Yeah, and the fact that people can get sacked for sexual harassment is discrimination against people who aren't asexual in my eyes. Get a grip already.
I should be able to practice my Christianity in peace and without fear.
Lots of people practice their Christianity in peace and therefore without fear. Feel free to join them.

Sexuality has been proved to exist.
The right to free speech, freedom of religion, etc, does not include the right to impose on the rights of others.

Well, then you and your eyes are wrong.
"I should be able to practice my Christianity in peace and without fear."
You can. First, the free practice of Christianity doesn't involve calling gay people derogatory names. Second, you can call gay people derogatory names in the privacy of your home, church, isolated pasture, etc., you're just not allowed to display your bigotted a**hattery where it may offend others.

Uh, no. I've been favoring sexuality over gods for decades and it's served me quite well.

Why am I not surprised that ugly language would be used to give expression to an ugly philosophy?

Yes, gods forbid your employer want ALL of his employees to feel safe and welcome in the workplace, and not you. But then, I'm sure you consider it at least a degree of persecution that the damned faggots aren't fired for their blatant homosexuality in the first place, yes?

So, the lump total of you Christian practice is the ability to freely hate? Sorry, buddy, it doesn't work that way. Your freedom of religion where my Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness begins.
It's a sad state when we favour sexuality over God.
And it's a sadder state when one considers hatred more moral than love.
Hey, your right bigoted ass wipe. How about everyone speak their minds freely, you moronic tard face.
Right, because my mom taught me that name calling isn't nice.
OH NO I CAN’T SAY FAGGOT OR QUEER IN THE WORKPLACE I AM BEING OPRESSED BAWWW
Seriously what the fuck get over your unwarranted persecution complexes.
Keep whining fundies, you're just proving to me that you have no idea what the fuck real discrimination feels like.
Please be a Poe.
If not, then Religious Discrimination Does Not Work That Way!
If, for example, one is fired for the sole reason of their religion or lack of, that'd be religious discrimination.
...On the other hand, Mister Holiday, if he was fired for being a homophobic pile of ass, then that's not religious discrimination.
You can't use religion as an excuse to ignore civil laws. And Christianity doesn't condone calling people derogatory names, so Johnny isn't practicing Christianity, anyway. He's making up his own religion and calling it Christianity so he can justify his bigotry.
You can get fired for being a douchebag to other workers no matter why you do it. If I called someone a Christfag, I'd be just as fired as they would if they called me an ordinary fag. It's a sad state when Christians dress their own prejudices in religious clothing and favor them above being a decent human being.
I've consistently had a lousy Poe-dar, and even I'm suspicious about this one being genuine.
*rates it a 3 due to not being sure one way or the other*
Oh too bad, so sad. Do us all favor, cry a river, build a bridge, tie a millstone to your neck and jump off it.

And Christianity requires you to spew hateful names and spittle-flecked invective at them as a religious sacrament now?
I should be able to practice my Christianity in peace and without fear
Oh you po', po' persecuted thing, you. Here, let me play you a song on the world's tiniest violin called 'My Heart Pumps Purple Piss For You."

Calling people derogatory names is hardly practicing your religion in peace.
Thinking derogatory names might be construed as "in peace".
But, doesn't Jesus say "love thy neighbor as yourself"? Calling your neighbor derogatory names (or thinking them, for that matter) is hardly loving.
It's sad when you would rather hate than love. pr even tolerate, your neighbor.
Well speaking as a devout Epistolwhipalian Fundiepuncharian, I heartily agree that you should be able to practise your religious duties as freely as I am allowed to practise mine.
We should meet up sometime.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
