Which cult am I? I exist on an internet message board. I cater specifically to teens. My leader is the only one who gets to interpret the Bible, and his interpretations dictate every way I live my life. He tries to keep me separate from every aspect of modern life, right down to the way I dress and where I'm allowed to go.

Why does the Bro say a priest can't forgive? As a Bible-believer, the Bro can't deny that Jesus had the power to forgive sins. In John 20:23, Jesus passed on this power to his disciples: "Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; [and] whose soever [sins] ye retain, they are retained." The Catholic Church believes (whether the Bro agrees or not) it was founded by Peter in accordance with Jesus' specific instructions (Matt. 16:18-20). It's certainly as defensible as that Baptist successionist nonsense about their church being founded by Jesus, which the Bro readily accepts.
Catholics believe that the power was passed on to their bishops as disciples nominated and descended from the original twelve. The Bro may not agree, but their philosophy is as well-grounded in scripture as his is (the Catholic Church has documented the specific scripture on which all this is based).
