I go to church sometimes but I am not as religious as I would like to be. My niece is convinced that Obama is the anti christ. She quoted from the Bible different things about how people would act and how the anti christ would fool people....scary! I am not convinced ,but it is kind of strange how people are screaming at his rallies .. screaming they love him is kinda different! What do you all think? Could he be?????

I don't know a lot of people scream at Mitt Romney rallies too. And Mitt Romney was a charismatic person. Maybe Mitt Romney was the Anti-Christ.
Look this whole Anti-Christ thing is fucking ridiculous. Nearly ever single presidential candidate over the past two hundred years could have been the Anti-Christ.
Nope. Antichrist is a poster on this site and I am sure that if he was Barack Obama, he would have told us.
Your niece needs an immediate visit to a psychiatrist and some heavy meds. She is, in the very least, paranoid and could have other mental illnesses as well. Get her there quick before she begins to think YOU are the anti christ next, and tries to save the world by taking you out.
Any charismatic politician and any person with a gift with words matches whatever Revelation says about the anti-Christ. From Ivan the terrible, to Elisabeth Tudor, to Hitler to Georges Bush. Just pick one. And if you want to be religious, go to church more often, nobody prevents you to.
Nope. As the Bible is mostly made up crap, and the anti-Christ is a fictional character, no, it couldn't be.
Do ya think?
???
?
Nope, the anti christ is the guy who wrote those letters to the Romans, Corinthians, Thessalonians, etc etc. You know, the ones in your bible.
Screaming at political rallies is just like saying amen in church, right?
Strange - I've not encountered someone who isn't sufficiently fundie to obsessively attend every official church event, but is fundie enough to start taking nutty apocalyptic prophecies seriously. Perhaps this is some new social evolutionary quirk.
Either that or you're lying or in denial about not being very religious. Trying to distance yourself from the crazies, perhaps?
The only mention of the Antichrist is in the two epistles of John. In those, he suggests that the Antichrist is already there in the first century, AD: "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that Antichrist shall come, even now are there many Antichrists "; "and this is that [spirit] of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world ."
He describes the Antichrist as one who spreads false teachings among the Christian churches: "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."
I've never heard that Obama, a practicing Christian, "denieth the Father and the Son".
It sounds like Gallery's niece is cherry-picking the Bible for her own purposes.
Every fucking leader of the US has been the anti-christ according to someone.
P.S. I'm not Obhama, I support the Republicans, their treatment of the poor just fit so well with my evil evil plans >:D
What worries me is how religious Gallery would have to be before they were satisfied. Because accusing people of being the antichrist is a long way beyond the "excessive" threshold in my personal spectrum of religious insanity.
I forsee a great deal of goat blood in this person's future.
Tomby Stone said: "Hi, I want to believe Obama is the antiChrist, how can I get away with that ???"
Well Tomby, first you should blame it on your niece, that way when you are wrong, you can say that it was her, and not you that was wrong.
Passing the buck, a fundy tradition for over 2000 years!
Yes, he could be.
And pigs could fly, given a sufficient air pressure differential.
I'll laugh if christ does in fact come and his followers are too busy looking up his signs of coming doom to notice
@ Brain_In_A_Jar - Have you not met mormons? my parents attend church regular as clockwork and won't shut up about the end, well, that's more my dad's bit. but the thing is he's not out of place among his peers.
Because you asked
Barack Hussein Obama is the Antichrist. The number of the Beast is 666.
Barack: 6 letters
Hussein: 7 letters
Obama: 5 letters
6+7+5=18=6+6+6
QED
Take all permutations of 5,6,7 (3! = 6):
567
576
657
675
756
765
Sum them (3996), divide by total number: 3996/6=666
QED
Barack Hussein Obama was born in 1961=1998-37=666x3-666/(6+6+6).
QED
Revelations 13:18=(6+7):(6+7+5): "If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666."
QED
Conclusion: Barack Hussein Obama is the Antichrist. This is not a drill.
I'll post this to admin for aproval.
I'm not sure what worries me more: the idea of the above-mentioned niece being a child, or an adult.
It disturbs me that anyone could indoctrinate their children to the point where they are pointing fingers and crying out about the Antichrist. But also disturbs me that these children grow up into adults who carry on believing in fairy tales long past the point where they should realize that it's fantasy and delusion.
Oh with all the elections in the world, there's always someone yelling "ANTICHRIST" at someone they don't agree with.
Nothing new here, move along.
She quoted from the Bible different things about how people would act and how the anti christ would fool people.
So until Obama actually fools people, your little theory doesn't really have a shred of evidence to stand on except, "Your niece is convinced".
There was a Paramore gig last week in my town. Lots of people were screaming when Hayley Williams came on stage. Some of the people were even screaming they loved her. Does that make her the anti-christ?
With that dumb crap you're asking, it sounds like you're already more religious than is good for you.
I think you should probably stop now.
Not very fundie. At least he's questioning. However the dude's an idiot if he thinks that someone screaming (one would assume, hysterically) at rallies means the coming of the antichrist. If that were the case, The Beatles would have taken the award in the 60's.
Right. The anti-Christ would come in a form that all good Christians would recognize, and not as someone, who would, say, suck up to them, and then ship their kids off to a needless war to die. Now who do we know that would do such a thing...?
Confused?
