Is that being satirical/Poe? If so, funny stuff, if not, dude... just no... having a human side is a GOOD thing. Having religion strip that away and make you want to die is a very very bad thing. Junebug needs a reality check and psychiatric help as opposed to more religious indoctrination...
I kind of have to force myself to go to work every day too; it's not the most exciting or enjoyable way to spend a day but given that I have needs, like food, clothing and shelter, it's not the worst way in the world to spend 40 hours a week either.
But, when the day is over and I am done working, I have a life to live; Husband, family, friends, hobbies, interests - all kinds of things that contribute to the enjoyment of this one life I have.
You are wasting the one life you have. When you're dead, you won't know the difference, but really...why take that chance?
You truly are mentally ill. It wouldn't take much to push you over the edge into a screaming, drooling maniacal state, would it?
I predict we'll be seeing this one on the news sometime soon, folks. If I were one of her children I'd be very nervous, wondering if she would snap and kill me by blunt force trauma or just take me out sneaky-like in my sleep.
I want to mock her, I do...but it's just so sad that a person can get so wrapped up in a religion that she can clamp her eyes shut to all the beauty and wonder this world holds, crouch in the corner, praying for her "miserable existence" to end. It's truly, truly sad.

With the rest, though, not so much.
If Rapture Ready were a physical location, it would be a great service to its inhabitants to spike its water supply with Prozac.
How do you get these people to admit they need help? They have formed a support group where this is the norm and they actively avoid any help given. I am sure if a member came to them and said that they were now on antidepressants and feeling much better about the world, the rest of the group would turn on that person like a pack of rabid hyenas.
Oh and there is nothing in the bible that says suicide is wrong.
"Sin-sick" world? You see, a person who is well adjusted, has a rational mind, and some faith will find plenty of good things around. I realize that most people at RR believe that this life is pointless, but think about this: why are you here?
To prepare for your next life with God? That's pointless. According to the Psalms within the Old Testament, God knows your heart before you do. He has no need to test or prepare you.

1. I feel desperately sorry for her - she's obviously extremely clincially depressed, and as others have said, is in totally the wrong place to be given a reality check on that.

I agree. I have to do this from time to time at Home Depot, but only for an hour at a time. Still, I do fantasize about rescue during the ordeal, but damn if it's about any Jesus.Only 59 minutes to go...)
Well, you've got a couple of choices. 1) Fight to get yourself out of this slump, because there's more to life than this sanity-gobbling stew of depression, job hating, and apathy. 2)Drink the Kool-Aid.
As much as I tend to loathe the RR board, I'm sort of hoping you pick the first one.
If your work is so pointless, and the world is going to end any day; why don't you quit and go into voluntary work? Like a soup-kitchen for homeless people? You can probably eat there too. As the world is going to end, according to you, you don't have to have any savings or properties. Put your money where your mouth is and help the poor during the last days of this world. The Salvation Army will probably even let you witness to the homeless people while you give them soup.
Or, seek psychiatric councelling for that clinical depression. Maybe do both.
