The UK is a wicked and godless nation as is Canada. They are getting the judgment of God with the financial meltdown and their problems with a growing Islamic population. No evil nation has ever gone unpunished. I think that the sins of the west though will be ultimately judged in the Great Tribulation which I don't think is far off.

This "Tribulation" has been 'at hand' for decades. Typically af the first sign of a hurricane, or man made disaster. So wrong, so often, yet still beating that dead horse.
If we're being punished for anything, it's for copying the US desire for financial deregulation and for tagging along in an illegal war of aggression. But thanks for describing us as godless; that bit makes me feel better, and reminds me that there's still hope.

See here, Trev. If your Tribulation doesn't happen within three years, I get to place you on a rack or waterboard you for 6 uninterrupted hours. If it does happen, you can personally toss me into your Lake of Fire for eternity.
Deal?
"No evil nation has ever gone unpunished."
If one attributes everything to God, no nation good, bad or neutral has ever gone unpunished.
Yup, the UK is well wicked . And despite our having a state religion we're definitely more godless than our cousins in the colonies United States. So that's 2 out of 2.
As for God smiting us with a financial meltdown... I was under the impression your Jesus guy wasn't too hot on money and more of the "give it all away" persuasion? *confused*
Irony. God judges Canada and the UK, by causing a financial downfall, and yet the US, which is having probably the worst the world over, is still god's chosen. Yeah, contradictory and insane.
No evil nation has ever gone unpunished.
As Papabear pointed out, no nation in history has ever gone unpunished. And your Great Tribulation is like a mirage: it's never far off, but you can never reach it.
Quoth the Raven, "The forest clearing is as silent as the grave, Audrey Patterson floats serenely overhead emitting a solitary wan shaft to lighten my heavy heart. 'Where is everyone?' 'Caw! Did you hear that noise just five minutes ago?', rasped Irene Turner-Cartwright the inconsiderate daw as she flapped down from somewhere above. 'Yes, I think I heard something', quoth I, 'I'm not certain what it was I heard though.' From a high branch silently swooped Linda Menzies the hoot owl, 'I heard it too'. she hooted. 'It was a sound like the horns of the men of the Dreaming City, followed by several whooshing noises,' 'Whatever could it be'?, queried Irene Turner-Cartwright the disheveled daw. 'Perhaps,' quoth I, (cont. page 94)

Thanks very much! It's nice to be noticed.
They are getting the judgment of God with the financial meltdown
Would that be the worldwide financial meltdown? The one that the US is completely immune to...in your deranged little imagination.
their problems with a growing Islamic population.
Yeah, they amount to a truly terrifying 2.7%. I'm practically shitting my pants.

The Rapture. Any day now, since records began.
Coming from RR, this is a compliment.
Funny thing is, the US economy is doing far worse than Canada's (or the UK's, as far as I know). I'm glad I live in godless Canada, where my health care is free and my poutine is delicious.
Dude the UK and Canada are part of the NATO clubhouse.
Are you sure you want to give them a reason to leave?
No matter how much you want it to be true, but the US just can't go it alone.
I don't get it.
I mean, sure, I'm not living in a solid gold mansion, but neither am I on the street.
As for "growing Islamic population", I'm not a bigot, so that doesn't bother me.
And wicked and godless?
Yep. And proudly so.
@rw23 We also need to be punished for the amount of political correctness that we display towards religious groups, and the consequent condemning of any criticism.
In short, we need to put fundies in their place more often, and be less afraid to do it.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
