Not choosing God is choosing to follow Satan by omission. This world is ruled by Satan and his principalities, whether any of us like it or not. Whether any of us think it is fair or not. When we choose to do wrong things, break any of His holy commandments or participate in sin we are left open and subject to the will of the evil one.
Case in point: fornication. Anyone in the “deliverance” ministry is well aware of the fact that when you act upon the desire to sin a demonic spirit now has permission from YOU to move in and take over. It is NOT readily apparent at first. It is subtle. That “thing” doesn’t take over and you have no will power or ability to control yourself anymore, however, when you continue in the same sin that invited the “thing” to move in in the first place it will get what the bible refers to as a “strong hold”. Whether you claim to be a born again spirit filled Christian or you are the most deviant atheist on the planet, the result is relatively the same. “It” moves in and begins living its life vicariously through you!
