hind sight is always 20/20. I tend to believe the earlier stories about the Christian young adults and their Faith in God.
But we still have not learnt anything. Why didn't God prevent the murders? Simply because God is not allowed in out schools. We fail to remember that our entire public school system was started based on God. Our great universities were founded as Seminaries to prepare men and women to spread the Love of God. Yale, Harvard, Trinity, Columbia were started as Seminaries.

"Why didn't God prevent the murders? "
Because, according to the Old Testament, the freak gets off on that shit?
Also, because God doesn't exist.
Let me get this straight here, you're saying that God would have met them in a hallway at the high school and smote them into submission with superior fire power if we had allowed God in the schools. Gee, I never realized that fixing all of the social woes that plague society would be that easy to recitfy. Nah, just another fundie taking the easy way out for not having a fuggin' clue about how the world actually works.
Why doesn't god prevent any disease, death, natural disasters, or anything else he's supposed to have control over? Simple. He's not real . See how easy that was?
"God is not allowed in our schools", you say?
Umm, isn't your god omnipotent? As such, how can we puny humans possibly succeed in keeping him out of any place in which he wants to be?
What you mean, of course, is "the ability to force others to pay homage to God is not allowed in our schools". If only you'd say what you meant, you'd always be right. Sadly, that seems to be a rarity for fundies like you.
Simply because God is not allowed in out schools.
What, is he scared the Campus Patrol Officer will catch him on school grounds and tazer him for violating the First Amendent?
IF GOD IS OMNIPOTENT
THEN BANNING HIM IS INEFFECTIVE
IF BANNING HIM IS INEFFECTIVE
THEN HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET INTO THE SCHOOL AND STOP THE MURDERS IF HE WANTED TO
THREE POSSIBLE EXPLANATIONS EXIST:
HE'S NOT OMNIPOTENT
HE DIDN'T WANT TO
HE'S NOT THERE
Simply because God is not allowed in out schools.
The kids sang; "Tik-A-Lock, the game is locked
and nobody else can play-ay."
And that puny wimp of a god was thwarted, hahaha.
Powerful as iron chariots.
I don't know about the US but here God is allowed in the schools, he just has to share the space with Allah, Buddha, Yaweh, Ganesh, Ra, Oden and Zeus, and some other guys.
What, is sectarianism now a kind of sorcery?
In any case, you'd do well to take a look at Socinianism, a medieval school of Christianity which believed that God wasn't perfect, yet still learned from his mistakes...
"Why didn't God prevent the murders?"
Because he gave us free will to take responsibility for ourselves?
"Simply because God is not allowed in out schools"
So how does that explain these boys parents not noticing or caring that they were building propane bombs in their rooms? This whole thing started at home, not school.
So what, god is like a vampire, he can't pass through the doorway because of a lack of faith?
That's not much of a deity you got there.
The word is "learned"--and if you had indeed learned anything from the teachings of Christianity, you would have heard that man was given free will. God intervening in the acts of mankind would kind of cancel that out, you know?
"Why didn't God prevent the murders? Simply because God is not allowed in out schools. "
So god is not only defeated by iron chariots, he is also defeated by by school district policy.
I'm pretty sure that if you threw in this guy's face the fact that this makes God sound impotent, his reply would be not that God "couldn't" enter the school, but that God "didn't choose to" enter the school because, let's face it, the children aren't going to grovel at his feet when there.
Still, I don't know which is worse. That this statement makes God appear impotent, or that it makes God appear to be an egotistical prick.

...and the more they uncovered about the Bible and Christianity, the more "liberal" they became. Hmm.
If your omnipotent and omnipresent God isn't allowed in our schools, then He isn't allowed in my bedroom either, so shut up about teh ghey.
Also, your "Least Appropriate User Name" award will arrive shortly by UPS ground.
“
didn't target jocks, blacks or Christians, police now say, citing the
killers' journals and witness accounts. That story about a student being
shot in the head after she said she believed in God? Never happened, the
FBI says now.”
Well, there goes the Christian persecution complex!!!
Another thing, if god prevents murders, how does explain any and all
murders outside of public schools? Such as parents killing siblings, mass
murder, the activities of the KKK, ect?
That god sure is a slacker!
History fail. The modern public school system really stems from the ideas of Horace Mann in the 1830s. The public school system was not "started based on God". The universities you mentioned, while founded as seminaries, are also private institutions.
@Doctor Whom
I prefer to interpret this fundie's user name as "all knowin': gone, the second" like he's the son of all knowin': gone, Sr.
I declare it as "Most Appropriatest".
"THREE POSSIBLE EXPLANATIONS EXIST:

Sorry, you forgot a fourth possibility: He doesn't care. After all, being GOD why the hell would he care about ANYTHING to do with the public school system of the USA? Oh that's right, our ego tells us we're the most important people ever! I FORGOT!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
