Luckily, by the time i was transferred back to sea duty, we had the first kid, so when i tried to give her power of attorney while i was deployed, they were glad to verify her DNA matched the kid’s, and his matched mine, so the marriage was valid.
After that, any time we’ve gone to a bank, hospital, DMV, registering kids for school or picking them up at daycare, getting insurance, getting a security clearance, whatever, we only have to produce the three vials of blood to prove our marriage has served the purpose ofproducing offspring.
