I also know what I am talking about when I declare Christians are all stupid and immoral heathens, and the world would be better off without them! That is why I now take every secure measure against Christians either invading or ruining my life!
Christians are the only ones conceited enough to think they never need to do any sort of research on anything they write about before they even get started! This is a fact! Just as it is a fact atheists value the virtue of learning of the truth before coming to any conclusion, or making any decisions on something!
That is why I am no longer afraid to always be not polite to them! Why waste any politeness on such uncivil savages as Christians, anyway! That is just they want me to do, after all!

Ms BugLover here generalising all of Christianity based on the minority of fundamentalists. The certainty with which she states 'This is a fact!', right after saying that Christians do no research and just before saying that atheists value learning before coming to conclusions, just proves her own hypocrisy.
I'd say she was letting the side down, but in truth I, unlike Ms BugLover, never saw it as Theists vs Atheists, but Fundamentalists vs Rationalists.
Either one of those annoying hardcore anti-theist types or a Poe showing what it would be like if the shoe was on the other foot. That said, not too extreme, just jerkassy in tone.
I'm with you on this one, Happy Atheist. People like you & people like me can get along perfectly. Belief doesn't make one stupid, it's FUNDAMENTALISM that's the enemy. I have no beef at all with atheists.
EDIT: Got your name wrong, corrected it, sorry.
Whenever we get a quote like this I'm reminded that this site is rather heavily-slanted towards fundamentalist Christian and generic American right-winger quotes. Come on, folks, let's dig up some Marxist blogs, get some left-wing fundie quotes. Start mining radfems instead of just MRAs. Find some Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Taoist and Shinto fundies - for there is such a thing. And of course really random Time Cube type websites such as Cassiopaea and Quantonics. This site could be so much more diverse than it is!
That must be the broadest brush in the world! There are about 2,1 billion Christians; they are not all clones of each other. Quite a few scientists are Christians, for example.
Many atheists do seem to value the virtue of learning the truth before coming to any conclusion. But some atheists don't bother with learning at all, and just call everyone in an enormous group "stupid and immoral heathens".
Treat others as you want to be treated, especially in the beginning. THEN you might perhaps treat people like they treat you, as that presumably is how they want to be treated.
@rubber chicken
Not only that, 30 seconds of research would have shown aebears that we already do that. And besides, the submitters provide the quotes they want. If you're (being aebears) looking for a rabid anti-Marxist website, you've come to the wrong place to begin with.
"Christians are the only ones conceited enough to think they never need to do any sort of research on anything they write about before they even get started! "
Not true. Muslims do it too.
"That is why I am no longer afraid to always be not polite to them! Why waste any politeness on such uncivil savages as Christians, anyway!"
That's the attitude I take to fundies when I talk to them. They are completely befuddled and don't know what to do when their assholery is inflicted on them.
Christians are the only ones conceited enough to think they never need to do any sort of research on anything they write about before they even get started!
Case in point, oh wait. I'm an atheist, but give me a reasonable Christian over a fundie atheist any day.
I declare Christians are all stupid and immoral heathens, and the world would be better off without them
Heathens?
heathen (n)- a person who does not belong to a widely held religion (esp. one who is not a Christian, Jew, or Muslim) as regarded by those who do.
God you're an idiot. And yet you'll say that only Christians don't do any research. You couldn't even be arsed to run a simply Google search to see if you understand the word you're using.
That is why I am no longer afraid to always be not polite to them! Why waste any politeness on such uncivil savages as Christians, anyway! That is just they want me to do, after all!
You get more flies with honey than with vinegar? Besides, the answer to a stereotype is not to reinforce it as much as possible. All that does is justify the stereotype. If people think atheists are all bitter and nasty and you're all bitter and nasty because why the fuck not, then the stereotype will only get stronger. And then you'll want to be even more bitter and nasty and so on. It's a neverending cycle.
it's possible this isn't any kind of poe; being an atheist does not stop anyone from being a rude jackass, after all. doesn't keep one from foolish overgeneralizations, either. still, if i had to bet i'd bet on some sort of poe.
I also know what I am talking about when I declare Christians are all stupid and immoral heathens, and the world would be better off without them!
This kind of shit is the same spewed by fundies such as Rafael Cruz proclaming atheism begets sexual abuse .
Just as it is a fact atheists value the virtue of learning of the truth before coming to any conclusion, or making any decisions on something!
Gregor Mendel and Teilhard de Chardin would disagree with you.
You know, it's nice knowing that there's plenty of diversity in this forums. Showing that, once again, anyone can be an idiot.
Anyway, about this quote: Holy crap, you're that mirror is so shiny.
@aebars
Marxist fundies are given to repeating mindless slogans rather than stupid arguments. They may be just as enthusiastic as Christian fundies about anti-gay regimes like Russia, Iran, and Venezuela, and for the same reasons - I submitted one such quote some months ago - but when couched as a cretinous anti-imperialist slogan rather than an imbecilic logical fuckup, it doesn't seem as funny.
@aebars
"Come on, folks, let's dig up some Marxist blogs, get some left-wing fundie quotes. Start mining radfems instead of just MRAs. Find some Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Taoist and Shinto fundies - for there is such a thing."
I like finding unique quotes as much as the next guy, but sometimes you just have certain factions outnumber others. There are far more Christian fundamentalists than rabid atheists, and many more misogynist MRAs (redundant?) than there are so-called "Radfems" like the people on A Room Of Our Own and the now defunct Radfem Hub.
I take aebars' point, but most of those categories tend not to post in English, and to add to what Hasan said, left wing loonies also tend to be terribly long winded and boring. Not only that, digging around in marxist revolutionary sites can attract entirely the wrong sort of attention.
Not sure if trolling, or just nutty.

I'd say it's easier to get me at the admin email address, but it's not true. Good thing I checked up on comments.
If by chance this isn't a poe, you're really not helping the atheist community, WogglebugLover. Yes, I am telling you this as a Christian no less.
Why you might ask? Christian fundies are looking for convenient examples of how athiests are bad people so they can paint all atheists like that person. FSTDT has numerous examples of Christian fundies holding to the atheists-are-bad-people belief.
Even if this is a Poe, Troll, whatever, I've read countless idiotic comments just like this (and worse) coming from other atheists (See: Yahoo commment boards re: anything and everything). The real problem facing our species is irrational, hate-filled, self-righteous, ideological fanaticism. It's dangerous no matter what prepacked train of thought the particular Fundie decides to adopt. (Because they sure as fuck aren't thinking critically or for themselves.)
I'm especially noting the specifically anti-Christian slant here. Either way, boarding the trains of thought of extreme fanaticism / fundamentalism without question can only lead to train wrecks.
+1 to Broton of Loch Ness FSTDT gets its majority up as well, considering how many DIAFs have been slung around this here site.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
